I started a kindness challenge. I was inspired by Redmaples thread called "are you kind to people". All in all I think it will be a feel good challege for everyone involved. Can't wait to hear what acts of kindness are happening. Many of the frugal villagers already do so many kind things.

I got this idea from another thread called are you kind to people. Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to start a challenge, thread, on what you may have done for someone else. Or what someone else has done for you. What is great about this challenge is that it can really cost $0.00...

Haven't really been on much the last day. I ended up with some stomach bug and had bad stomach pains since 1 am until about 9 am. I was pretty miserable. I'm finally feeling a bit better now. Kindness and then some frustration... Yesterday I learned that my brother needed help with food for...

I posted the other day in reponse to another thread where a mom was feeling guilty because her children were raiding their allowance money in order for the family to survive for the week. It reminded me of a time when my parents were both laid off in the early 90's and in order to buy groceries...

I went to get a prong on my engagement ring fixed yesterday. I live in a rural community that is quickly growing. The nice couple that owns the jewelery store looked at it (the man had to go into the back room where his equipment was) less than 5 minutes later out he came fixed & shiny. I asked...

    1) The family that deposited a perfectly good wooden, carved outdoor love-seat bench onto their curb this weekend. Yes, it had some slight staining on one of the arm-rests, nothing some wood-stain couldn't patch up. It now adorns our front porch. 2) Someone's brother on my church e-list was...

I have just started reading Dr Wayne Dyers new book "Inspiration - your ultimate calling" On one of his pages he mentions that he starts the day with a random act of kindness. Whether it be phoneing a friend for a catch up, or sending someone a small gift of appreciation. I thought this was a...
