I have been working since I was sixteen.
This is the first time in 32 years that I have ever been completely debt free with a one month emergency fund.
I know that it is not much…but it feels so good to know that if something happened at least I have a little savings in the bank.
a couple of months ago I called our Land lord because the Gas Hot water System was being a bit dodgy, within 24 hours she had had it replaced with a brand new one (the old one would have been at least 30 years old)
Well it is obviously much more efficient then the old on, our gas bill was $35...
We had asked him to come look at our oven and Fridge because they are not working correctly. The oven burns things on the bottom and the top stays gooey. Then the fridge just sounds like a wounded moose when it comes on and doesn't keep the milk as long as the other fridge did.
Just had a wonderful evening celebrating hubby's birthday. A couple of our kids came over and some of the grandkids. We all had a very nice time! Once again I mentioned that I needed some advice about a printer copier and my daughter-inlaw said she had one that I could have. Wow, what a week...
I know yhat there a lot of football and NASCAR fans in the village. Are there any hockey fans? The Buffalo Sabres made it to the finals last year but fell a little short. This year we have a better team, so hopefully they can get the job done. Who are you rooting for?

Anyone heard this song sung by tenor Ronan Tynan? It is breathtakingly beautiful IMO. I think it was heard at President Regan's funeral and in the movie We Were Solidiers. I've been listening to it online over and over. :)
... The Lord's Baseball Game ...
Bob and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team. The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero. It was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the...

There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let
them walk. I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with
you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying...
(~) LORD, I HAVE TIME
Abbe Michel Quoist
All men complain that they haven't enough time. They look at their lives from
too human a point
of view. There is always time to do what God wants us to do, but we must put
completely into each moment that he offers us.
I went out, Lord...

If My Lord Introduced Me To Someone, What Would He Say?
If my Lord introduced me to someone, what would He have to say?
Would He be so proud and brag on me or reluctantly turn away?
This is a question I ponder as I travel along every day.
If my Lord introduced me to...

I wasn't that interested in seeing the first LOTR movie, but was surprised when I saw it, that I enjoyed it. I don't plan on seeing the sequel in the movies either, but I am rather anxious to see it when it comes out at the rental stores. What about you all? Will you be going to the theatre...
Rented Lord of the Rings last night. We both really liked it-I liked the books back in high school, but the movie really made it realistic. It was sooooo long (like 3 hours) plus a whole dvd of extras, and dh HATED the ending, he didn't read the series so he didn't expect it. I am really looking...
Lord Of The Rings is about to be out at the theaters. Hubby has been waiting a long time for this movie. He re-read the trilogy. I hope it's a good movie for me to sit through. *LOL* He has even bought the glasses from Burger King. *LMAO*
Anyone else heading to go and see it?
