    I know that a pell grant is one that you don't have to pay back and I've applied for one a few weeks ago, but what other types of grants/financial assistance is out there? I tried looking it up online and seems that all I get are sites where you have to send in $39.95 for the information...

    I received my award letter today! The grant will be enough to pay my tuition and books, and maybe a couple hundred dollars left over. I am so happy! I have put off going to college for a LONG time, because I never thought we could afford for me to go. I will be a 45 year old freshman.:thumb:
