I recieved some leg quarters from my friends mother yesterday, but I've never cooked leg quarters before. I plan to begin buying it though because it's cheaper than ground beef and is probably also healthier. I just need to know how to cook it and if anyone has recipes that would be great. Thanks
I thawed some chicken leg quarters on Monday with the intentions of grilling them. Well it stormed really bad, we didn't end up using them and we went out to dinner last night. I really need to cook them today.
What could I do with them in the crock pot?
bag of chicken legs & quarters
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup onion soup mix (I have made it without the soupmix before too) - just added some onion powder / dried onions etc
combine ingrediants and pour over chicken
bake @ 350 for 1 hour until chicken is cooked

I just cut my 'noodles' for the swap and found out something about fat quarters.
They are NOT all 22" long!! Most of mine (that have never been cut) were between 18"-20" and sometimes that included the selvage!! I only found 2 that were exactly 22" long.
So Kim, you are receiving more...
Got my fat quarters today. Woo hoo, they are something else. One ugly one in there though, so I don't have to go out and purchase an ugly fat quarter for the train.
