I spent 5-1/2 hours yesterday on the internet and phone trying to get through to get rebates for a new central a/c unit ($600-$1000) and a new freezer ($180). I got through after 5-1/2 hours and the program ran out of rebate money a half an hour later!
I talked me my A/C guy yesterday and he...
I just wanted to share a money saving habit I have picked up with FV people.
My girlfriends and I discovered that at CVS you can pretty much get things for FREE.
Here's how it works:
In the beginning, you must spend money on an item, maybe between $5-$20, whatever YOU choose, that offers...

I just came back from Walgreens and bought:

4 - 5x5x4.5 gift boxes,
2 - 14.25 x 9.5 x 1.875 gift boxes,
1 - 20x14x4 gift box,
130 count Aleve,
One-a-day vitamins, &
Alkaseltzer plus (night)
I spent $18.50 out of pocket after coupons.
I was wondering if anyone does the Rite-Aid Rebates? I am thinking about taking the plung into trying the Rebates with Rite-Aid. I looked in the ciruclar for this week and I can get a lot if not all my winter medications(Theraflu, Childrens Advil, Cough Syrup, Cloraseptic and lip mositerizer)...
I'm sure other drugstore programs work too- I just use Rite Aid since it's what we have out here in the NH sticks- but they have the rebate program- where you buy certain items, log it on their website, they send you a check each month. So- I have learned to watch the circulars to see what...
So I went into 2 DIFFERENT Walgreen's on my way home and got:
6 jars of Ragu
1 bottle of Pert plus
got: $4.00 register rewards
Rebate: $3.79 for shampoo
Final cost: $2.24
1 Pert Plus
Paid $13.58 (not sure about change)
got: $5.00 register rebates
I think I am doing this right. Walgreen's has some great Kellogg's deals right now. If I buy 4 of their 4/$10 cereals, and 6 of their 5/$10 snacks, I will get $10 register rewards back. I plan on using coupons as well, so my total will be around $18 for the ten items. Then I will get $10 rewards...
I went to welgreens and rite aid and got tons of stuff for a total of about $10 after coupons and rebates.
5 - 2 pocket folders $.09 each
5 - mini highlighters $.19 each
8 - designer pencils 8/$1.00
First of all, WOW! This forum hasn't been used in like forever!!!
Which doesn't really suprise me, I suppose, especially considering my question:
Does anyone really do rebates anymore?
I do the Walgreens monthly rebate program, and if I lived near CVS or Rite Aid, I'd do their all-in-one...
For those that don't know Ace hardware also has a monthly rebate program. Often items are free after rebate. We do this all the time. I use some of them for gifts.
Here is the link to the rebates available for May. Just click on the May rebate and you can print it. You can also get the pages...
Did ya'll know that now everyone can submit their rebates online. For a while it was only limited to a few select states but now everyone can. I'm happy. I don't have to worry about my receipts getting lost in the mail anymore and I'm saving a 41 cent stamp each month.
