Does anyone know if adding a few drops (or more?) of tea tree oil to regular shampoo would make a product similar to tea tree oil shampoo? I really like the stuff, but it's SO expensive!! Thought I'd ask here before trying it. TIA! :)

We have a really cute tea kettle.. it sits on top of the stove and now has a layer of greasy grossness on it. I stuck it in the dishwasher and it didn't help. It still looks gross. Any tips on how to get rid of the grease? Thanks.
