put on a pot of rice- basmati or jasmine
in a skillet put a glob (3 tablespoons) of butter or ghee, and a minced clove of garlic. fry for 2 minutes, add two tablespoons chana masala seasoning (laxmi brand). fry for a moment.
add two cans (with the juice) chick peas. add a glob (about 1/3 cup)...
This is DH's absolute favorite, and it makes a LOT. There are only two of us, and one pot will last us days! I originally made it with groud beef, but switched to ground turkey and DH didn't notice, I had to tell him...makes it lower fat, too (if you ignore the bread and cheese part...lol!)...

A friend of mine from an old church, who has a phd in home economics, gave me this recipe. It is wonderful. The glaze actually has 6 flavors. I've made it several times and everyone who tries it asks for the recipe.
