I'm just going with the giant list this week and checking off as I go. So much to do and I really need to list it out to keep it straight. I'll probably carry it over into next week as well.

~Another week, another 43 tasks to complete!
I started out strong this morning knowing that the baby shower I attended today and subsequent exhaustion after would make me useless from noon on. Why is socializing so tiring?
Done this morning:

1.clean counters/empty sink(thanks DH)
2-5. loads laundry complete/put away
6.change all bed sheets

Mahalo for setting us up and getting us going again!!

Needed to take a late morning nap before I could tackle the rest of the sewing. Here's what the rest of my day looks like:

1. Sew 3 more skirts
2. Iron rest of costumes
3. Put cording in skirts
4. Get myself ready for the show
5. DH and I will be off by 4PM for the show
6. Help the dancers change between numbers - remember to bring pins, scissors, etc.
7. Collapse for the rest of the evening and enjoy the memories of the fun evening!!

I have such an erratic work schedule and my arthritis is so unpredictable, I think it will work best for me if instead of making a To Do list and marking them off, I just list them as I go, and hope to make it to my goal by Friday. I'm shooting for 40 again. It's a little under the "pyramid" number, but I'm giving myself a Senior Discount :laugh:

Before work today:

1. Cleaned up living room
2. Hung up clothes (that shouldn't have been unhung to start with)
3. Put shopping bags and cart into the car for the next shopping trip

I'm not counting the errand to Joann's - it was pure fun. I resisted a beautiful little wooden bowl, half off, the other day, but un-resisted it today. It's my birthday and I wanted something pretty, so WTH. I'm going to use it for all the safety pins and yarn needles and assorted crocheting stuff I keep on the table my my chair. I also picked up one more crochet book (borders) with a 50% coupon. I didn't order the cookware after all. I've spent too much on hobbies lately to justify it.

Oh, I enjoyed the day all right. I spent it at Amazon.com. And shhhh! Don't tell Greebo, but I signed up for the Amazon CC - it's $40 off now and that sweetens the deal enough. I can use it for purchases there.

I added two more crochet books, since crocheting is becoming my full time occupation with my audio book addiction, and an external hard drive to store the audio books on. If my computer crashed and I lost the hard drive, it would take forever to download everything again. They are huge files.

And now, the birthday is OVER.

Thanks for all the b'day wishes everyone. Turned 62 today.

Before I leave, I need to tuck my camera in my bag and use it!!

Tomorrow I am planning on doing nothing but reccuperating - need to take some painpills before I go - may have pushed myself a little too far!! DH said he has seen me push much farther. I needed to remind him that it does get a little more challenging as the years go by !! Bless his heart, on his own he has done all the laundry - thank goodness!!

I know, it's a little intense and kind of breaking the rules of the pyramid, which is supposed to be little tasks . If I don't really push myself this week though, I will never have the house ready.

Just replaced the faucet upstairs, but the supply lines were too short to reach. Had to steal the lines from the downstairs sink so I could turn the water back on to the house (downstairs sink has shut off valves - so glad I put those on or I'd have had to leave the water off all day). Fixed the drain while I was under there. Will have to go to Home Depot tonight for new lines.

Anyway, took way longer than expected, and was really hard work, so I'm going to look for some easy jobs to do the rest of the day.
