~Another week of attacking the ever so annoying to-do list!
I was actually successful doing the challenge "the right way" last week so I'm going to try that again.
I'll choose 12 small things to do today, 10 tomorrow, 8 the next, 6, 4, 2 and then 1 thing on Friday. As the amount of tasks lessens, the difficulty or tediousness of the task increases.
Who else is ready to start another week of procrastination busting?~

These challenges have really helped me. The reason it took so long to do the kitchen is because it was REALLY a mess. But I love my new kitchen. I am very proud of the way it looks... now I plan to keep it that way by doing some work in there every day.

So.... this weeks list:

1. work in kitchen every day
2. clean hallway top to bottom - not really bad
3. clean bathroom - not too bad
4. DH is helping with the living room.

We need to have it done by Wednesday when our company arrives, and I think that because the kitchen is done, we can do the rest easily enough.
Thank you all for your support and these challenges. You have no idea what this site means to me.:dancing:

This morning I went to town,
gassed up the car, went to the recycle center, went to sign up for unemployment (long story), did my grocery shopping, ate lunch, and am now ready to tackle the bathroom.

Wish me luck............... I'm going in!

~So yesterday was fun. Not long after posting I tripped over a box(dd moved it in my path as I was walking by, not maliciously or anything)and gouged my foot up. It turned purple right away but didn't bleed too much. Since my feet were already swollen and I could just limp around I decided that I'd better take the day off. :/

So...leftovers:

1. cut down front yard saplings
2. order kids' beds
3. finish 2nd pair booties(worked on again, just need closure)
4. 30 minutes cleaning(kids' rm)
5. cut ds hair
6. cut dd hair
7. start new shopping list with carry-over items

Monday's 8 and Tuesday's 6:

1. cook kidney beans
2. make ice
3. make 2x batch waffles and freeze
4. make slippers #3
5. make applesauce, juice for jelly
6. ship gift
7-8. clean 30 minutes

1. order reward gift cards
2. dig up and give hibiscus
3. box one shelf of books
4. wash and store window quilts/kids' room
5. water container garden
6. Fling one bag

Well that'll keep me busy until I go to my mom's for a visit this afternoon! Hope everyone has a productive day!~

I h aven'tbeen doing this, but need to next week. I have the week off - I insisted on it. Because last night I learned that I am being asked to work the day shift from June 28 to August 23. Bummer big time. I am so spoiled to my out of sync schedule. Anyway, I need time to shift from going to bed around 3:30 to getting up at 5:00.

This week I'll be putting together a list of all the things I MUST get done before my schedule change. On top of the list - car inspection, that I keep forgetting, and serious grocery stock up while I can still do it while everyone else is at work!

I'll see you Saturday or Sunday with a Plan.

~We'll be very glad to have you Donna!

I feel like I've been getting nothing done. I'm letting myself get distracted by other tasks. It's frustrating! I'm glad today is only a 2 item day so I can catch up some more.

1. order kids' beds(I'm having the hardest time spending the $250, urg...)
2. 30 minutes cleaning(kids' rm)
3. cut ds hair
4. cut dd hair
5. make applesauce, juice for jelly
6. ship gift
7. dig up and give hibiscus
8. box one shelf of books
9. sort and wrap treasure box items
10.decide on F-Day gifts
11.30 minutes cleaning

So all I'm adding today is:

1-2. 30 minutes cleaning

D-Day..........company arriving this evening. Living room is done, Kitchen is almost done again (need to do some dishes, wipe counters down, stove top, sweep floor). Hallway still needs to be done, but if I concentrate on that I can have that done in an hour. The bathroom is the last room.....

It is so hot and humid today that I can only work for a few minutes, then have to go to the a/c and cool down. ONLY have a/c in the bedroom.

But since our company is not due to arrive until about dark, I still have time... That's how my day is working. We are not perfect, but we are acceptable....for me, that's really good.
