LOL. I haven't done much but knit and wait for my sore back to feel better.

This will be a busy week, as I have to prep for a Dutch oven demo I'm giving.

I guess I did do a few things today.

~Sorted accordion file full of old craft patterns and recycled about 90% of them.

~Finished knitting second sleeve of UFO sweater and got part of it sewed together.

~Started making plans for building a stair rail from scratch, since Lowe's doesn't have what I need.

~Made a hotdish for supper, husband's lunch tomorrow, and for the freezer.

~Put away some of the treasures found at the GW Boutique yesterday.

~Sliced up a block of cheese so it's ready for quesadillas.

My back is better, thanks. Shopping and sitting in a truck all day really do a number on me anymore.

Today I:
~went to an appointment.
~learned to do needle tatting.
~created menu for DO demo.
~looked up recipes for DO demo.
~shopped for groceries for DO demo.
~started typing up hand-outs for DO demo.
~resisted temptation to buy bad snacks in favor of eating WW black bean soup from my freezer.
~printed patterns for knitted capelet, fingerless gloves, and hats and slippers for the Ships Project.
~dug up plexiglass to use to modify tortilla press.
~weighed myself.

Not much again, but better than nothing.

I hope you are taking newcomers because this is EXACTLY what I need right now!:thumb:

I had a family emergency back in late June that pretty much kept me away from home for the next five weeks. Things are still not normal but are getting better. The ordeal has left me stressed and completely out of sorts and the house has suffered terribly. DH did his best and did one super house clean that helped a lot but everything needs a good deep scrubbing and lots of little things just need to tending to.

I went back and found the first thread so I would know the rules and I'm gonna do a modified version based on a list that I make. I'll post my starting list tomorrow. :)

MADH - so glad you've joined us!! Originally MadHen started this thread with the idea on an upside down pyramid to support getting all those little things done during the week - by the end of the week, there would only be one activity left - start with 13 and subtract two each day.

Now this has evolved into being more of an accountability thread that each sets up to best benefit what they want to do. In SD's case this week, she's listing what she has accomplished during the day. I'm still trying to keep my feet under my, but my life is crazy this week so my posts are probably going to be different each day.........so see what fits best for you.

I'm just out here printing hand-outs for the Dutch oven demo today. I wish it was over. The weather is rainy and breezy. Hope it doesn't storm.

Later I have to get all the prep done for the food I'm going to make. That shouldn't take real long though. I hope.

Thanks for having me!!

I think I'm ready. I laid in bed last night with pen and paper and mentally went through each room and noted everything that needed to be done. It's a long one but the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time and I'm hungry! :hungry:

My routine is SO messed up at this point. My sleep schedule is completely out of whack, I'm staying up later, sleeping in later, then find myself running late in the morning and taking shortcuts. I'm so overwhelmed with everything that needs to get done I find myself walking in circles most days and nothing ends up getting done. So, I'm actually going to start each and every day with my usual daily routine until I get in the groove again. I'll fill in the middle of the day with what I want to accomplish each day.

Here Goes:

Daily Routine
Wake before 7am
Shower
Shave (M/W/F/S)
Wash Hair
Floss

Make Bed
Tidy up as needed

Garden Walkthrough
Start Seedlings as needed
Repot/Garden Set Seedlings as needed

Put away dinner dishes
Breakfast
Vitamins
Wash Dishes/Wipe Counter
Make Ice as needed
Light Candles

Pool Pump 9am-12pm (M/W/F/S/S)

Talking Heads off at Noon – Music On (M-F)

Assigned Chores For the Day*

Make Dinner
Clean up Kitchen
Update Weather History for Garden
Emails and Misc.
To Bed before 10:30pm

*Assigned Chores for the day:
Update Budget
Pay Bills
Mail H/O Insurance Documents
Call Sue about H/O Insurance
Go through Misc. Folder and find a spot for each and every piece of paper
Visit Dad in Rehab

Anything over and above this will be a BONUS!

I'll update at the end of the day. :sun:

MM - hope you are feeling better soon. I missed what happened but saw a few days back where you went to the doctor. Hope you are feeling better soon! And it looks like you accomplished quite a bit for someone who's supposed to be on bed rest! Just make sure you don't over do it!

My Accomplishments for the day:

All Daily Routine Chores done except...

Emails and Misc. - In Progress
To Bed before 10:30pm - TBD

*Assigned Chores for the day:
Update Budget - Done
Pay Bills - Done
Mail H/O Insurance Documents - Done
Call Sue about H/O Insurance - Done
Go through Misc. Folder and find a spot for each and every piece of paper - Done

I managed to get some Bonus Chores!

Bonus Chores Today:
Shredded four blocks of cheese that have been in the fridge for over a week and got them in the freezer

Did dad's banking, paid bills and balanced his checkbook

The reason we didn't visit dad tonight was because we became first time Grandparents!!! :babybot::tedblue: DH's daughter out of state had the first Grandbaby. Baby Boy Maddox. Phones and emails have been lit up all afternoon. Dad understands so we'll visit him tomorrow. :sun:
