I'm off work today on sick leave, so I owe it to the company to just sit in a chair all day, right? Actually, I'm much better today, but had already arranged for a student worker to take my shift this morning. Extra money for him, a free day for me, so I'm going to let it stand. Still, there are a few low key things on my list.

1. Water table plant
2. Wash dishes
3. Declutter kitchen
4. Declutter bedroom
5. Put away shopping (from Monday )
6. Gather up trash
7. Take and post doily-ghan progress pic
8. Listen to six hours of Les Mis for group read
9. Download Les Mis to Kindle
10. Finish doily-ghan (may slurp over to Sunday)
11. Put away WIPs on hold
12. Choose next doily-ghan pattern and yarn (these are way fun!)

I am not letting myself off of the hook for unfinished business last week, so today will be a challenge to get those last few things done, and still tackle another twelve:
  • clean kitchen counters
  • pick up clutter in bathroom
  • iron any clothes that need it from yesterday's laundry
  • dust shelves in bedroom
  • stage two of deodorizing fridge (vinegar out, baking soda in)
  • set up "coffee bar" in bedroom
  • move bottled water to storage
  • go through "bug out" list and check off completed items
  • wash/replace bedsheets
  • clean/check vermicomposter
  • clean off other shelf in bunnies' room
  • pick up clutter off floor in bunnies' room (before dump run)
Stragglers:
  • take garbage to dump
  • shake out area rugs
  • return books to library
  • call re: Girl's meds (can't do that until after weekend)
  • finish TN report

I really did have a play day. I was working on the afghan, took a break and what did I do? Downloaded a new dumb match-3 computer game. Guess what I've been doing ever since? But no regrets, since it seems like forever since I've had such an extended play date with the computer. I listened to a favorite Pratchett book while I did it, so it all fun.

Play today, work tomorrow. After all, tomorrow may never come!

Thanks, MM. That is the mini-fridge that I posted about in another thread, that reeks of essential oils. It smells great, but I can't put anything edible in there until I get the aroma out. I'd like to keep Half and Half and water in there.

Essential oils - interesting!! Where did you get it from? And speaking of essentail oils - I need to get some peppermint extract for some play dough that I'm making - any idea where I could get some? Mahalo.

I usually just get peppermint extract at the grocery store. I've had the fridge for some time, but when I was making stuff for the craft store, I used it to store soap-making supplies and EO's/FO's. Now I'd like to re-purpose it, but it is saturated with the smell of all the oils. I can leave the door open and have a great air-freshener for the bedroom, but I'd rather use it as a fridge!
