CH - Glad to hear the cat is better.

Going to run some errands today. Walgreens has some laundry soap on sale. Will go to a couple other stores for toilet paper. Dh read there could be another shortage because of a shortage in shipping containers. They can't get the wood pulp here for them to make TP.

I've have orders in at 3 stores to pick up. Don't need many groceries. Do need bird seed and dog food, popcorn and a few things for this weekend. I'll probably pick up dgd today. Daddy is at work and she says she hasn't been doing any school. I think she's a little behind. We always try to do something with her when she is here. I think she may be able to read better than she lets on. I think she needs lots of praise when she is reading.

Doing lots of laundry. I think ds' dogs have issue with their anal glands. Dh went to bed last night and had to pull the blanket. I think it's just the bigger dog. We didn't have a problem when she was gone, but always did when she was here before. I'll ask the vet about it when I take her in for her rabies shot. It smells so bad. I stock up on the lysol laundry disenfectant. It smells so good.

Going back to home depot tonight to get the cross boards and pickets for the fence. Dh and his brother got the posts put in last night. So glad bil was able to help. If it was just me and dh, I don't think they would have all been put in yesterday. Went and got tacos last night. Not sure what we'll eat tonight. THere are some leftovers in the fridge.

hope everyone is well! sounds like the fence is coming along nice! glad the cat is better..mine is snoring away under the dresser.. she beats up on younger cat but i know it is just seasonal allergies. it is always the other cats fault everytime she doesn't feel good.

plans here always change was going to work early but then dd was off and a friend phd to pop over for coffee w granddaughter since she had to go pick up another in a hour. no ihop for a while. need to do bank deposit too. nice thing about my job is the flexibility as long as the work gets done in a certain time frame. ds home cus half day of school. yesterday woke me early looming over bed..just like when little. didn't feel well ..of course ate like crap night before so gave him allergy pill and pepto bismal pill. of course he was fine later.

did grocery shop yesterday so except for the ham done. they were out of stock so left my name for them to call. pulled the greek style lasagna I got half price for dinner. everytime I mentioned it dh pulls a face but really don't know what is tastes like and not tomato based chicken and white sauce so won't bug his stomach.

tried the gotham air fryer thing..well putting frozen fries etc straight on a pan works better and faster too. at least can use it for other things. sunny today but chilly mornings! funny w tp cus all the stores are having sales and have big stacks all around. I had to restock my coffee from downstairs and I have 4 packs of tp so all good. always have had extra being a women even when single. at least 24 rolls. not going without!

I haven't seen any shortage of TP at the several stores around town I stop at when I go out. Aldi was full up today. I think the media just likes to repeat bad news and scary rumors. We didn't have a TP shortage last year, we had panic hoarding. Remember the guy with the garage full of hand sanitizer? Anyway, we were out of all kinds of paper products all at once this week so I was loading up the cart. Also, cage free eggs are cheaper this week than regular ones. Got milk for DH and saw raisin bran marked down, which he likes, so I got 4 boxes. I was especially happy to see they have hyacinth in pots. A little more than the single bulb, but at least 3 plants in the pot and they won't tip over. I'll plant it after they bloom and it will come back next year.

Jetts, nice that you can have a new fence. Will look great when it is done, I'm sure.

GB- Indoor amusement places are fun. We took DS2 a few weeks ago. We bowled, played arcade games, etc.
CH- Glad the cat is better.
Jo- My aunt did our geneology and traced it back to the Pilgrims. Grandma used to tell my aunts/uncles (there were 9 of them) "You kids come from good stock!" Nobody knew what she was talking about until the geneology report.

The weather will be in the 70's and after a week, will drop into the 60's during the day and 30's at night. DH said he doesn't think I can plant the bulbs until May......

I'll make a new recipe this week. It's crunchy pecorino cod with panko/pecorino romano and baked. I'll post it if it cooks up nicely.

I cleaned out a dresser drawer and tossed alot. I set up a donation pick up in 3 weeks which will force me to clean things.

Rainy here, will try to do cleaning/decluttering and some sewing. Doing well selling small quilt tops on Etsy, also charm squares.
Worked at the food shelf yesterday, still very few customers, especially for being end of the month, it's usually busy then. The custodian dressed up as the Easter Bunny for the kids in the children's program, he is such a nice man. They all got Lindt chocolate bunnies, jealous!

Cold and sunny here, too. Dropped into the 30's last night. Not windy, I hope it warms a bit, I may do some gardening. Otherwise, staying home, not much going on. Got a baby quilt to finish.

Was able to get DH signed up for vax at the local school tomorrow. Feeling excited and relieved at the same time. I get my 2nd dose next week.

Not sure what is for dinner, we had take-out and then leftovers and my plan is all messed up. Will be chicken or fish with brocoli, not sure which DH will prefer. We haven't had salmon in a while.

The stores are full of toilet paper, cleaning products, etc. The one thing I have trouble finding are paper towels. I like the regular Viva and those are hard to find. I'm very picky on toilet paper. With UC/Crohns, I need the soft stuff for my behind. I haven't bought toilet paper in quite a while. Walmart was always out of the size package I wanted or Target wouldn't allow me to add for pick up. I rarely go into stores to shop. Need to restock while I can. Yes, the media is horrible, when it comes to scaring people. I rarely watch the news anymore. Tired of the bad news and garbage.

Cold again today, but will really warm up this weekend. We need to get the horizontal boards and the pickets tonight. We picked up the gate kits last night. We should have most of it done this weekend. Ds just called and asked me to do his taxes. He's going to send me his documents. Just really busy trying to get everything done before deployment. Work has added more to his schedule.

Still lots of laundry to do. Can't seem to get it all done. It piled up while we had visitors. Don't need much in groceries. Need to get strawberries for strawberry shortcake. Not sure about dinner. Dh said maybe chicken or steak tonight. We'll see what I get done here and what I decide to thaw out.

Cold today.....but sun is out....
I am just picking up here and there....want to clear table so I can set it nice for Easter....not that anyone will see it but I will enjoy it. Will use my new Pioneer Women placemats and chair pads....I have four of her basic plates I picked up when I went to her store in OK few years ago....will mix and match with some bunny salad plates I have....

I reached my first goal in my weight lose....now, to set another goal and see how long it takes me to reach that one....hopefully by May 1st I'll be down another six pounds.....I'm trying to be realistic here....

Had doctor appt. yesterday and am waiting for appointment to have colonoscopy.....then just have to see pulmomologist and I will be done except for my RA doctor...

Husband stopped and picked me up a salad for dinner....I have leftovers for him...

This is the first year that I haven't done Easter baskets for my young friends children.....they all get too much so decided they wouldn't miss it...I think things have gotten out of hand with these holidays and birthday celebrations.....the parties are over the top.....I see these huge birthday parties and think to myself...what happened to having friends and family and having cake and ice cream????? My great niece has one little boy and you should see the baskets she gives him for Easter....not one...not two...last year she posted picture and there were 8 baskets!!!! Filled.... four or five gifts wrapped...three or four stuffed animals......and a bunch of stuff sitting around the baskets....all the kid wants is his Mom's love and she thinks that by buying him stuff that will take care of it....sad situation...

I see on tv that paper products will be going up.....last week I bid on a box of toilet tissue....the big rolls they use in gas stations etc....thinking they be wrapped but they aren't so I can't send to the food pantry....so, told husband with prices going up, he will be happy when we run out of our toilet tissue and we have these as backup.....LOL

Not sure about what we are eating Easter....I didn't get to store to get a ham so we may get Cracker Barrel....

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend.....Stay safe....

Peg- Congrats on the weight loss!
Jo- I love Etsy and it's good to hear your sales are doing well.
Jetts- the news is biased and there isn't a lot of positive stories, imho. I try to avoid it as well. Glad to hear the diy projects are going well and I hope your son's deployment isn't a long one.

Woke up early yesterday due to dropped bs. I avoided shock barely but they were bad all day so I stayed in bed until I had to drive to work. My liver enzymes are up and from what I'm reading, I'll need a specialist to resolve my issue. I'll check it in 2 weeks and then see the pcp as she wants her own labs.

DH wants to go to the british fish eaterie. Kinda like the old Arthur Treacher's places. Great crunchy cod but the eaterie is their family recipe and they are packed during Lent.

A cold morning, 30 degrees. I want winter to be over. We get 2nd vaccine tomorrow so I want to take care of laundry and have easy meals on hand in case we don't feel well. Already have the groceries, just preparation time. Chicken casserole of some sort for supper. Started reading a Earnest Hemingway book on hand, he has a strange writing style. PBS featuring a Ken Burns documentary on Hemingway this month so I thought I would try. Library notified me latest John Grisham novel is available to checkout, I think Grisham is going to win. ;) I hope everyone has a good weekend.

It's chilly here again but I think this is the last cold morning. Supposed to have a nice weekend. I'm hoping to get yard work done but I may have to nag DH. He's been really busy with work this week and I know he just wants to relax and do nothing.

Dlr, hope your 2nd vax doesn't cause too many side effects. I get my 2nd on Tues and I'll be doing the same, getting a pot pie or tub of soup set up to be warmed up by DH if necessary.

I was never a fan of Hemmingway. Suffered through it in high school and never had any desire to read him again. Did get to see his house in Florida, though. IIRC he writes in a train-of-thought style, sometimes very blunt. Hope you find something you enjoy reading.

BW, congrats on the weight loss and good luck with the next part. Have a happy easter. No baskets or bunnies here, neither of us wants candy. My sole concession to decorating is some cute paper plates I found in my stash, we'll use those this weekend and I'll pop a can of cinnamon rolls or make biscuits and sausage.

Pasta and italian sausage for dinner, with tomato and asparagus salad. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Sunny and a bit chilly this morning. Supposed to warm up today and be really nice this weekend. We went to look for pickets last night. One store they were horrible. In an online review, one person said they spent hours trying find good boards. We went to another store and found some that will be better. We wanted cedar, but it's very thin and light weight. No wonder they were all split at the store. The others are cedar tone and much thicker and heavier. They will be more sturdy. We have pit bulls across the street and they have already broken down their own fence. They had a lot. Dh will come home early today and we'll go back and get them.

Haven't heard anything from dgd all week. I think she's growing up and coming to our house isn't a big deal anymore. She'll tell us she loves us and misses us, but I know she's happy at home. That's a good thing. Ds said that youngest woke up this morning and said I need to go to papa's house. They'll probably come over later tonight. We want the fence done this weekend. It's only across the front on the two sides of the house. That may be all that's in the budget for now. It will probably take a couple of years to get it all done. Trying to pay cash for it.

Working on more laundry today. Trying to get at least one load a day done until I get caught up. Going to do a quick grocery shop this morning before dh gets home. Probably have a salad for dinner tonight. If dgd comes over, she can make us a mouth watering salad. Need to get the ham out of the freezer for Sunday. It will just be dh and I for dinner. Nothing fancy. I just feel like ham. I put together a couple of Easter bags for the girls. No candy. Little playdoh things, some mini cars, cookies, books. Not doing an egg hunt this year. Our backyard is a mess from the fence and the dogs. Too many land mines to watch out for. I don't feel the front yard is safe with the dogs across the street. I don't know if ds will do anything at his house.

The weather was beautiful yesterday and we took a walk after the gym. Saw the pooch that lives behind us and am glad to see her walk that tiny pup as he barks from the time he goes out until he runs back in...Sometimes it's 20 + minutes that he's out there and wakes up DH. He is adorable and his fur is silky curls.

I made the baked cod recipe and DS2 gave it 9/10. I posted it on the new recipe board as well. Crunchy Pecorino Baked Cod Recipe | Allrecipes

Martha- I saw an article that Canada and Germany halted Astrazeneca for under age 60....The article was posted 2 days ago on cnbc,, cnn and abcnews.

We are not planning anything for Easter. Just the vigil at church. Not sure what the family will eat for dinner but maybe DH will pick up a ham as he saw it in the local ad on sale. That's my guess.

Still cold 30 degrees here. 2nd Vaccine this morning. Having easy chicken wraps for supper. Started the Grisham e-book, it is 550 pages so will keep me occupied. Hemingway can wait. Hubby and I will be having traditional ham, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts & carrot cake tomorrow, so I want to prep the potatoes and cake today. Coffee is upsetting my stomach so back to drinking tea, get out the teapot and electric kettle. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Sunny and breezy today. Not sure of the temp 'cause thingy-bob out back needs a new battery. DH has a bunch of plans for the yard, but I think he will be asleep by 3pm. He got 1st dose yesterday and is feeling achy and tired. Cat threw up again this morning, sleeping it off in the corner. Not sure what is going on with her.

Going to paint more trellis panels for the deck. Maybe we can start getting them nailed up tomorrow.

Not sure about dinner tonight. Might thaw a small pack of ground beef, I have a couple buns left for burgers. I did not realize easter was THIS weekend. We are getting gyros and salad from the local middle eastern place for dinner tomorrow, lol!

rujerro yes here in our province they are saying not for under 55 and then using them for 55 to 65 cus expiring soon so if you are 55 ?? and now kid in ds homeclass who sits behind him posted on instagram that she tested positive. so great! told him to find out if true or not cus you know some kids and attention.. he didn't want too but said if it is fake it is screwing with peoples lives as we would have to be home from work etc. apparently school is contacted so will see. so of course not going by moms etc. maybe just drop off the flower planters.

did order $150 from local honey place that we normally buy from candles, flavoured honey and reg honey. ginger, vanilla, orange blossom etc honey stix. free shipping if you bought that much. will last so why not. shipping isn't cheap.

we have a ham (favourite here) boxed scalloped potatoes, frozen veggies etc for easter dinner. watching latest scooby doo gang movie from library just watched last spongebob movie too. did alfredo sauce from packs from epicure and frozen cheese tortellini, caesar salad, italian sausages for dinner tonight. housework and laundry of course. cats happy cus got their favourite dry food in again tonight though the order was placed like almost 2 weeks ago and then a few days ago I bought a waterpik yet all delivered in same box. got creative and did a easter board of goodies for tomorrow ..all stuff I got on clearance last year and stored away and the gumdrops were clearance. there is more ..they have more choc and rest of eggs too. hidden in bedroom for now. kids don't want to hunt candy eggs.
