Knee's continuing to improve and now it's mostly being on my feet for longer periods of time that causes it to be twinge and be a bit painful. I think the weather also bothers my knee.

I'm starting to get a bit stir crazy with the weather getting warmer and the change to daylight savings time. I want to get out more in the evenings, now that the sun sets later in the evening than before. I'm feeling less mentally tired and worn down now that I'm getting more exercise in.

My knee's sore. Not sure why, other than a change in weather. It rained yesterday and a front moved through. I also felt my knee cap move over the weekend, mostly a quick pain, but not bad. Today it's really sore.

Knee's doing a lot better, although I still get the occasion twinge. Mostly after being on my feet for a while, especially if I'm walking over uneven ground. I am getting more exercise now that I'm able to get back in the garden. I'm paying attention to my knee when I do garden to make sure I don't overdo things. But I need to get out more and just take more walks, which I'm still bad at doing while working at home.

My diet is 'meh' at best. I need to do better on that.

Still doing physical therapy for my knee. My knee's doing a lot better. Still get some twinges when I try too much for too long. Haven't gotten back into my daily walks but I am starting up my T'ai Chi again. That and I'm back in the garden again. Yay!!

Doing a bit better with my diet, although I do need to improve that a lot more. I'm getting more fruits and vegetables into my diet. I just need to cut out the sweets and fast food more than I have been.

Looks like my PT will end at the end of June. That's ok since my knee has improved dramatically. Been doing more T'ai Chi since it was so hot the past few days (when I wasn't going to PT).

On the other hand, my diet's gone downhill drastically in the heat. I need to go grocery shopping as well. But it's been so hot I didn't want to cook or go grocery shopping.

Keeping up with my PT's homework exercises as well as trying to keep up with either gardening or t'ai chi.

Doing a bit better on the diet aspect of things. Last week was really hot and I just wanted to get out of the house for a bit each evening. So ended up getting fast food for dinner. Went grocery shopping a few days back and got more fruit and some veg. Basically stuff for a bit better meals during the week. I meant to stop by the local orchard to pick up some apples for lunch during the week but didn't. Wasn't too impressed with the apples they were offering at their stall at the farmer's market on Saturday.

Well, these are last year's apples, right? Fresh local apples have not yet grown this year. You have to wait until the opportunity to buy beautiful and delicious fruits appears.

Had my final PT session yesterday. Yay!! Knee was a bit sore a few days last week but I think that was due to a new thing they wanted me to do. That or the warm front that was coming through then. Don't know and my knee's doing a lot better. The only time I really use my cane at all is for getting out of the shower since it's a tub/shower set up. I still do have to continue doing the 'homework' exercises so I don't make it any worse. Need to make sure I continue to get more exercise. That's one thing I do miss about being in the office - I move around more there. I was also doing better at getting a daily walk when I was in the office as well

Knee's acting up again. Then again, I've been moving around a lot more the past few days. I cleaned my apartment over the weekend, which meant a lot of up and down stairs.

Knee's feeling better. I think it was acting up because of all the moving around I did in the past days. On the other hand, I know I'll be moving around more once I get back into the office.

Still keeping up with the 'homework' exercises from PT. Someone mentioned that it looked like I lost weight. Haven't checked my weight in some time but some of my shirts seem to be looser. So I think I may have lost inches, if anything.

Buy a scale so you're working with the proper tool. It's much more reliable and rewarding than guessing. :)

I'm down about 10, but stalled for the moment. But at least we're eating better. My big problem is not tracking every stinkin' crumb I eat, which is stupid and indicates I'm not really trying very hard. It's so much easier to lie to myself, which is a finely honed talent I have. But hope springs eternal. I can do better. WW has unexpectedly sent me charms for 5 and 10 lb loss, and that makes me want to get more charms.

My 3 new WW cookbooks arrived today, so that might provide more incentive. Lots of yummy stuff, and it's grilling season.

I do have a scale, although I should get a better one for a more accurate weight. I just haven't been weighing myself during the pandemic. It was too depressing with not getting as much exercise as I should and usually do. Once we get back into the office, I'll definitely be moving around more, both in general and hopefully restarting my lunchtime walks. In the meantime, the PT homework exercises have been helping my knee and getting the exercise in. So is the gardening, although I do that mostly on the weekends.

Food is actually far more important than exercise. Exercise can help, but eating right is the main thing. I've only been eating kinda sorta right, very little exercise, but still losing. I just can't drum up any enthusiasm for exercise.

Track weight at least once a week. It's important, and lets you know if you're trending up or down. Yeah, I know it's depressing if you're not losing, but even though I was gaining, it would have been worse if I hadn't been weighing every day. Seeing the numbers going up helped me to work at losing, pitiful as my effort has been. It's better than nothing. (Barely, but still.)

Glad your knee is better. Mine feel better, too, after only a 10 lb loss. Now to lose another 10 to help my back. sigh

Hi SD!!!

It's so funny that you mentioned the WW charms! I have been doing WW. I just went over 15 today, and being online-only, I won't get another free charm from them until 25... so I decided to splurge and bought one off eBay. Etsy has similar ones for wayyyyyy cheaper, but they aren't colorful, and I need the motivation. It's the little things...

Congrats on dumping the covid 15!

It really is the little things. I have a charm bracelet from TOPS with dozens of charms/awards, collected/earned one by one. It was great motivation for me at the time.

I'm online only with WW, too. I lost 30 a few yrs ago and got online icons noting that, but regained. I guess I get awards again for losing the same pounds again, which seems weird for me. I was pretty surprised when the first charm came in the mail, but I appreciated it. Makes me feel less alone.

Hey, I just realized 10 lbs is a double digit loss! I haven't been very focused on losing, so I guess even getting the 10 lb charm didn't make double digits register. Woohoo!

I bought 3 WW cookbooks this week. Lots of good recipes I hope will inspire me. I do love a good cookbook. Looking at recipes online just isn't the same, even though I do that, too.

Been keeping up with the homework exercises from PT, although sometimes I only do some of them each day. Then again, I've been doing a bit more moving around these days. We're going back into the office on Monday full time (although we do have the option to work from home for one or two days a week with our manager's permission). So I'll be able to get more exercise in. I'm looking forward to doing my daily walks that I was doing before the pandemic. One of the vendors mentioned that I look like I've lost weight. Yay.

One good thing about going back to work is the cafe has salad options, although it will be in grab-n-go form until COVID becomes more manageable.

Been bad about doing my homework exercises the past couple of days. But I'm moving around a lot more, now that I'm back in the office. The cafe at work opens today so I will be able to get more salads (I hope), depending on what they have. It's been said it will be a grab-n-go format but that's ok. I do want to get back to my lunch time walk.

The downside is that there is usually some sort of catering coming in on a nearly weekly basis (for meetings). In a normal situation, leftovers are usually up for grabs once the meeting/event is over. So.... temptations. Then again, there may be less stuff left over due to going the boxed meal route.

Got my first lunch break walk in today. Didn't get as much in as I had before the COVID shutdown but at least it's a start. I nearly talked myself out of it but did it anyway. Now to work up to where I had been before (a bit harder with all the onsite construction going on) and to make sure I don't do too much snacking in the afternoons.
