My new dining room chairs I picked up yesterday. $9 for five....and my "going wild" table scape. I just enjoy walking by it. No one sees it but me and husband...
picking up a small bookcase for the garage to put my instapot, fryer, etc. on.
Suppose to be nice for a couple of days I thought, and then get cold again....but it sure is windy out there....my windchime is spinning like crazy.
I have been making sure we are stocked with water, paper products, meds, etc. also. Things are looking crazy.
Had blood work done on Wednesday and things look better but new problems have cropped up. Will see what dr. says on Tuesday. I was able to schedule my mammogram same day as my bone density just two hours apart. I'm hoping they will take it together and not make me wait. Got to call in for my shots on Monday. They were waiting for doctor to send script. Told them they are running behind. So hope I can get it within three weeks as then I will be out. My new doctor for my other scripts won't renew until seven days before which is a pain....Walgreens likes to get it at ten....going talk to him about it when I see him in two weeks....with things the way they are, I don't want to be running out.....
Husband is having problems with eyes so he is having brain scan Monday. Praying it turns out to be nothing...

Zhoen I'm sending you a big hug.....I think you need it.....You aren't letting anyone down....if it's your niece's dream, she will find a way to make it happen and she will appreciate it more....
Teenagers can be very sassy and disrespectful....hope things work out with the chores....

It's chilly here....rained off and on all day.....went to doctor's today and thankfully the blood work is ok.....she wasn't worried about the things that popped up.....who know why....I have blood work done at least once every three months so we will just watch it.....she was very talky today....I've been going to her for 19 years so we have lots of history.....

Did get my meds ordered....I love just pushing a few buttons and I get a confirmation that they will be shipping such and such date....the last company I had I would rather run naked in traffic then call them....This time they are being delivered on next Friday....not sure I'm happy about that as they have to be kept cold and if they are running late...yikes....say a prayer they get here next Friday and not be late...

Grandson is coming for dinner tonight.....picked up some fried shrimp and will have green beans and mac and cheese...easy....

Got a bunch of lace at an auction that I plan to send to my friend who makes dresses for the shoeboxes.

Told my doctor that I've outlived all my friends.....she wants me to make new friends....like where???? Told her I have young friends but they all have jobs and are busy with their kids.....I do have one friend here that I go to lunch with and guess we are just going have to make it happen more often.....At my age it's hard to make friends....I have friends back home that I went to high school with but they aren't here.....

Yesterday afternoon it was 74....today it's 54.....tonite it will freeze...

Had lunch with my one friend yesterday.....we didn't sit outside as it hadn't hit the 74 at 11 am when we met....we sat inside away from everyone....when we left at 3 it was 74 outside.....husband asked what we talked about and I said everything....he asked if I told her about all the stuff I have for the shoeboxes and I told him we didn't get to the "S's"...lol
It was great to get out and talk to a friend.

Saw my son in law yesterday. He's had a rough time. He is still in lots of pain from all his ribs being broken. Took him some old albums and a throw. Not sure if I feel better after seeing him or not....

Will be feeding my son's cats next week while they help his mother in law pack up as she will be moving to retirement home not far from their home. He got a thing from Amazon where you set a timer and the feed comes down and into the bowl. We will just have to fill the thingy every other day or so.....

Friday so it's pizza nite....have pizza dough in freezer.

Gas is close to $5 here. Not sure how families will survive....it's a scary world out there.

It's in the 60's today and sun is shining so it isn't too bad here.....ran and picked up my monkey dishes I won at an auction....I know I didn't need them but they really go with my jungle tablescape....and, they were $7 for the set....
Ran and got my scripts and came home. Husband is doing the sheets and I'm just messing around....I got a salad yesterday that I didn't eat so will have that for dinner....husband will probably have eggs....
Have bone density test and mammogram this week. Another dr. appt. next week...hope that's it for another three months....
Daughters birthday is coming up...got her a tray you use when in the bathtub that holds your soap, book, candle, etc. hope she likes it....
Middle grandson's birthday is the day after and we will take him to dinner.....we already furnished his apartment with everything.

Seems like lots of car problems going around.....my son's car broke down while he was in the country helping his mil pack to move into assistant living home.....part just came in today so hopefully they get it done so they can pick up tomorrow....Husband just put new spark plugs in my car and today he had to change the tail light.

Today was beautiful....then around five it started to rain....

I had my bone test and mammogram today....my bone test was scheduled for 11:30 and mammo at 1:15....I got there at 11 as requested and they took me immediately and did both and I was out of there by 12....she told me they were short handed and behind.....not so for me, so I feel very blessed....I hate those parking garages....I had my pepper spray in one hand and my taser in my other.....I'm not walking so well today so I wanted to be prepared....

I have zucchini lasagna in oven made with impossible beef.....I'm not so sure about this plant based stuff....I don't like the smell of it when I cook it....it doesn't smell spoiled, it just smells different....... I've had it before but can't remember if it was the same brand......husband doesn't seem to mind that it's plant based and he doesn't know the difference...which I find amazing....he is so picky...I slipped tofu into spaghetti sauce and he didn't know till I told him.......it tasted good the last time I used it so let's hope this is good too....I have at least three more packages in freezer so I better get over the smell thing....lol

The world is so scary.....the war in Ukraine hits home for me as my pastor took mission trips there for years. I never got to go (who's going mind the office if I went?) but I sent a ton of stuff there and there was one family that would come to the US every year and they would stay with pastor and come into the office while here...I didn't know Ukrainian sign language so I just smile and say hello and wave.......I pray they all got out safely. So many deaths which are just senseless.....the devil is working overtime....

I got $20 gc from Fetch for Amazon so got some Barbie clothes for all the dolls I have.....they aren't as nice as I would like but for the money they will do.....I heard DT had Barbie clothes but haven't stumbled onto them yet.....

CH that chicken looks delicious.....last night we had some type of fish that was crusted with crumbs and spices and lemon....lots of lemon...(came packaged that way...) too much lemon so we fed to possums. Have no idea what I will be making tonight. Hope they find the problem with car and doesn't cost a fortune....

Dentist appointment went really well....had a cleaning and it's been over two years and she said they looked good for going that long....only took her 40 minutes.....then went into the chair and dentist filled a tiny cavity that took about ten minutes. He had cancer three years after me and then he also had blood clots and has the Factor Five gene so we had a good chat about that.....told me if I have any other problems to call him so he can tell his doctor to watch for it....LOL...I've been going to him for 31 years.....when he dies I stop going to the dentist....have one more tiny cavity that will be done in June....Eye appointments in April and then my sister will be here for month of May....then it's packing time for shoeboxes...

Last night I got up to get a candy bar and I fell over the treadmill...thank goodness I didn't break anything...I'm bruised up but will be okay....treadmill will be put up....can't let that happen again....I have never fallen before.....first thing they ask at my age when I go to doctors....which I will be going on Thursday so guess it breaks my record.....

Jett....House prices are out of sight here.....and rent is even worse.....I don't know how the young people do it.....my grandson lives alone and he is struggling with rent, car, insurance, phone, electric, etc.....
Hope your son can find a place...

Gave my friend's daughter some Pioneer women chair cushions since I got new dining room chairs....she is hoping to get an apartment in a year or so....

My nephew who has been fighting cancer for four years passed away this weekend at age 56. He was always smiling...I haven't seen him in four years as he was too sick last time I was home.....way too young but he is free from pain now. Not sure if we will ever get back to NY as I am afraid to fly now and it's quite a trip to drive and we aren't spring chickens anymore.....

Texas had some bad storms last night but we were okay.....others weren't so lucky.....so much going on.....it's really bad about two hours outside the city....have a friend who lives in the town a tornado hit...going have to call him....

Weekend is almost here.....I haven't done a thing today.....except go to doctors....my primary (I've only been with him for a little over a year....) and I are not on same page....I go to my RA doctor every three months and she orders blood work which I have done a week before I see her....we have been doing this for 19 years...... I've been giving him copies of it....he is having fits saying she doesn't need to do bloodwork that's his job....he also doesn't want my kidney doctor to do bloodwork....who cares who orders it, as long as it's done......I told him I will give him copy of what she is wanting done and he can add to it if he wants.....I'm a little ticked....I have blood work done for kidney and oncologist coming up in Dec. and I just won't give him copies.....I asked him to check my ears and he told me that is extra....seriously???? Extra? He listened to my heart and that was it. How much time does it take to check my ears? My RA does it for free....and what the heck do I pay for Medicare and supplement for??? Ridiculous....

Having pork chops for dinner....I usually do them in the crockpot but forgot so guess I will bake them....
It's been beautiful here today....low 70's....

Jett how can a dr. refuse to accept blood work? That is crazy.....my last primary would have the RA dr. do all the blood work so I wouldn't have to go twice. This guy says RA dr. doesn't care about bp, thyroid, etc. Which is untrue...she always looks at everything....
Kids act up sometimes.....I don't want to scare you but be careful....lot of trafficing going on....few years ago I went to lunch with a young mom with two of her young beautiful little girls....a man and women kept their eyes on them constantly....I got chills......I whispered to the mom to grab the girls hands and don't let go and we walked out.....it gave me the creeps and I was going with my gut.....sad world we live in. Saw today on news where a pastor abused a young girl and the congregation was on HIS side....even tho they had a ton of evidence that he was sending her pictures and nasty texts....his father knew he did this but didn't turn him in!!!!! Horrible....

Pork chops were good....tonite is pizza night. I have crust in the freezer so will make my own....

GB hope things calm down with dd and dgd.
CH hope you feel better....ozone here is going to be bad today and this weekend....

Picked up three nice small bookcases today....and one that doesn't match, that will be used in garage I think...I will put two of the bookcases on each side of the tv stand....matches close enough....other one I'm not sure....much to my husband's dismay...

GB so happy you found your rings.....I know you were going crazy trying to find them.....
It's been beautiful here but the pollen is taking over.

My sister will be here in two weeks....I have to do a big grocery order but first I have to defrost the freezer..it's on my agenda for tomorrow....finally vacuumed....been putting it off......

Husband's test came back clear but she is sending him to a cardiologist and a neurologist. He has to watch his diet. He's always been picky and won't try new foods and eat the same thing so it's going to be a challenge to cook for him....he was eating at chick-fil-la everyday and doctor told him three times a week....I've been trying to get him to try different things but who am I....lol we will see how things work out......

Today we ran out of town and picked up a couple auctions....won a few lots of new clothing.....got about 20 new things to wear and giving away about ten that I just wouldn't wear....probably paid the price of one item....also got 100 WWJD bracelets and one hundred pieces of Target dollar spot items to use in my shoeboxes...paid a couple dollars for the lot. ..lots of little stuff for the shoeboxes....

It's drizzling out and just nasty.
Gave husband a leftover pork chop, mac and cheese and spinach....he only liked the spinach....I had half a turkey sandwich left from yesterday and a spoonful of coleslaw and some leftover dressing I had made with the porkchops....husband won't eat dressing...I love it....

Jett hope your Mom does okay. It is hard getting old....but, I shouldn't complain, many of my friends didn't make it to this age....my mother died at 60. She had RA really really bad and no meds back then.....if it wasn't for my shots, me retiring when I did, and a husband who takes care of me, I'd be dead too.....we are at the age where we can't move furniture, change out the curtains, get stuff out of attic and have to depend on others to do that so mostly, it doesn't get done....I hate asking for help.....
Didn't feel well yesterday so spent most of day in bed....got up about eight last night and had a piece of toast and watched tv a little....felt a little better today but still not 100%. Have a lunch date tomorrow with a young friend and haven't seen her in over two years so hopefully I'm back to 100% by tomorrow....not doing anything today....
I did get the freezer defrosted the other day....yay....took out a pan of chicken and noodles for dinner last night but husband had eggs and I had toast so we will have tonight...
Finally got my table set for Easter....I think I will pack a picnic and we will go to the beach....they have covered areas with small tables.....I will take my fancy placemats and have plastic bunny dishes and have a nice picnic.....

Middle grandson called Tuesday and asked if he could stop by....I ran to grocery store and picked up a couple of ready made meals...salmon...they were delicious....he like sushi so got him a small serving of that also......gave him an interesting piece of pottery I had picked up and he has been admiring and a wine making kit....he was thrilled.....we had a good visit....texted me at midnight....he started the wine making....said it will be ready in three weeks....told him he would get a chance to use the nice wine glasses I gave him....

Worked on my pencil packs...got 35 mini bottles done and another 35 almost done....
Went thru my glass cabinet and giving away some glasses we don't use anymore...
Got my three totes of Easter decor down to one....will probably be two as I will have to pack up what I am using...

All the talk about dehydrating has me thinking I need to take mine out of the box....got it years ago and haven't used it...

Last night it got down to 45.....today it's in the high 80's.

Neighbor came by last night and cleaned the master bath...came this morning and finished the rest of the house.....Looks good.....I have been feeling OK so I've been trying to stay on top of things....so not too much for her to do.

Not cooking tonight....husband got a sandwich and I am having left over quesadillas that I had for lunch out with my friend yesterday.

Ran to grocery store and picked up some raspberries $1.25, bananas, better than bouillon veggie flavor, and two bottles of my favorite coconut water...oh, and two angel food cakes....how could I forget those????

One of my sweet young friends said her favorite dishes were my monkey dishes so I will be gifting them to her along with the placemats, napkins and table covering......I know she will enjoy them. Time to start getting rid of stuff once I've used it....

Brenda it's so good to see you again.....haven't been in your area for three years due to pandemic....we are hoping we can make it back there this year.....we will see....when I think of airports I get anxiety attack....husband still works part time so driving isn't an option either and then driving all that ways gives me anxiety....can't win.......we will see.....glad things are going well with you.
We are going to the beach and having a picnic on the beach.....got everything ready and husband is ready to go but I am moving slow today.....
Eggs were over $2 at Aldi yesterday...I still had two dozen of the good eggs I got from Kroger last week when they were on sale so didn't get any more....picked up a few cake mixes for my birthday give to the food pantry....they were 77 cents.
Z glad that test is behind you.....I'm sure you did great....now you can breathe....
CH where was the lumpia hiding? LOL....I've done that before...it's like I looked there three times and didn't see it...
Picked up a hundred new t-2hirts, all sized, and 63 pj bottoms for little boys yesterday from an auction. Paid 8 cents each for shirts and 5 cents each for the pj bottoms....had to drive over an hour to pick up and mostly toll roads but it was worth it...Now to find a place to store.....things are getting full around here....

Weather is nice but little overcast...suppose to get cooler around four....

Sunny here today...79 degrees....sun is shining...
Had a nice Easter...had a picnic at the beach....we were able to get one of the six tables they have that overlooks the beach. I set the table nice and it was nice just to sit and enjoy the breeze and the view.
My sister will be here today about 5....she called and was in La.
I have to vacuum and I'm ready for her....having a roast, mashed potatoes, veggie and fruit. Will bake a potato for husband as he doesn't like mashed.
CH hope you feel better. Back pain is the worst...
Jetts sounds like you are busy with grands....today is my daughters youngest birthday....21....saw the middle one few days ago when we took a cabinet over to him...had a fancy coffee maker I had and he was thrilled. Had two extra shower curtains and asked which one he liked....he couldn't decide so he got both. One had a huge turtle on it in turquoise and green....I have one in my guest bath....I really like it better then the pink I had....

Dlr when is spring going hit your area? I know NY got snow the other day....I'm so glad I don't have to mess with that. Too old for it....

GB 49??? WOW....I would never have thought that either....poor guy. The world is a crazy place right now....and it doesn't look like its going get better anytime soon. I just pray everyday for peace to all....

Martha one year my boss gave me a turkucken and it was so huge I gave most of it away....I really wasn't a fan of it...a waste of time to me and money cause those things aren't cheap.....
Ruj glad your labs were normal. I'll have mine done in June...every three months....primary says its not necessary...I've decided not to give results to him from other doctors.....he doesn't need to know and I don't like him telling me not to do something another doctor told me to do. I may be looking for a new primary if he keeps up this attitude.
Jos good luck with the dentist. Even tho I've been going to same dentist for over 30 years, the night before my appt. I am sleepless....my stomach is in knots and I'm on edge. Once I get in the chair, I'm fine....crazy...bad experience with dentist when I was younger I think is the problem.

Zhoen I know where you are with the graduating thing....I happened to look at my daughters (many years ago) about this time and I started adding up her credits and she was half a credit short.....she had to take a crash course in Spanish in order to get that half credit and we didn't know till last minute if she was going pass or not....stressful.....good luck...I hope she graduates......the pictures will be lovely no matter what.....

The weather is getting hot here.....88 today.....yesterday we went to the beach and had a picnic. It was windy!!!! But nice to get out. Haven't been out of house in a couple of weeks.

My sister got here almost three weeks ago. Unfortunately she brought an unwelcome guest.....we all got sick. Husband and I are negative but she is still positive. Doctor said she may test positive for up to 90 days.......I feel much better but fatigue is the issue. I tried to get the infusion but no one had it and couldn't take the pill as it would interfere with my other meds.........sister did take the pill and it did help her I think....Husband didn't feel bad at all....I got a headache and had a fever for about two hours ...after that it was eat and sleep for about a week.....I'm pretty good about listening to my body so it hasn't been too bad.....

She is slowly going thru boxes. I have enough clothes to dress a third world country. I'm getting excited to pack. It's fun to match up the dresses with socks and shoes to match with accessories. Seems this year we even got bargains on boys clothes which usually doesn't happen. We have almost 700 pencil pouches done so just another 300 to make my commitment of a thousand. She is kinda bossy and I am just letting her do her thing and when she goes home I will do things my way. Very OCD and I'm more of a go with the flow gal.

Going to pick up my new glasses this afternoon. Hope I like them.

Youngest grandson graduates in ten days. Son and dil are having a party for him and I will make some tidbits as they are just having finger foods.

Hope you feel better CH.....and hope your Mom is on road to recovery Jetts. It's hard when you get older and need so much help. I'm trying to stay independent as long as possible.

Sounds like everyone is busy. It's been in the 90's here so haven't been doing anything.....I am still feeling fatigue and take a nap everyday. Mostly just to get a little peace too. Three weeks yesterday and I think she will be here another two or three....she's been a huge help but I think you all can relate.....

Ordered a pizza for dinner....been cooking every night.

Ran to DT as they suppose to have some cute Bee plates....of course none of my DT has them. I did pick up four lemon plates that match my placemats. Looking forward to setting my table....right now my kitchen is filled with totes....

I love rhubarb....haven't had it in years.....
Nothing planned for weekend....

Walmart is my sister's store to go to so today we went there and she learned why I don't shop there....found erasers on the sale shelf and code matched but cashier insisted it was not the right erasers.....I refused to pay four times what the shelf tag said. Went to four FD and one had erasers for .50, one had them for $1 and two had them for .75. All the same erasers....I don't get it.....all stores within five miles of each other....not like they are in different towns.....


Sister has everything sorted and tags off....I need to order another 100 sharpeners cause she won't do packs with sharpeners.....for me, I would pack around them....nope....it's her OCD....all packs have to have same number and color of pencils and erasers etc. She's a big help but now she needs something to do.....she can't sit still....she is leaving on the first....

Having baked chicken and baked potatoes for dinner.....took pork chops out for tomorrow.....

We spent all day driving today.....or so it seems....had to drive an hour and half to wayyyy out in the country to pick up a win from an auction....OMG....the house....It was unbelievable.....everything was high end and what I won was really really nice....I saw some of the things I missed out on and made me sad....lol.....lots went for wayyyy higher then I could/would pay. I was going order some plastic mini dessert dishes for my grandson's graduation party next week from Amazon and in one of my "plastic outdoor dishes" box I got enough to make 50 small desserts....and from another pick up, I also got some enameled plates that are super heavy....stopped at Taco Bell and got a Mexican Pizza....it was delicious.....husband was happy with his burrito and sister got something from Wendy's....

Before I left at 10 this morning I put porkchops in the crockpot....was in a hurry and I turned it to warm instead of low....so the possums and cat we feed will have porkchops tonight....That crockpot will be donated.....not the first time this happened.....and at the price of meat nowadays I can't afford for it to happen again......

Jetts hope your Mom feels better soon.....all that therapy can be exhausting.....we were just talking about when we get old (or should I say "older") having to move in with children or moving to a different place.....I just want to die in my sleep. As much as I would love to move to the country, it's not going happen....I would have to travel too far to the doctors and hospitals.....getting different doctors is too stressful for me.....then, if we move too far away, we would have no friends or family....so, we will be here in the concrete city till we die....

Congrats Zhoen.....how exciting for you....hope you enjoy it....take June and July to prepare and enjoy yourself....You have worked hard these past few years....
Hope things work out for your daughter....yes, graduation and birthday parties can be expensive....I know young parents who spend thousands of dollars.....and of course, lots of people here do the big 15th party.....they are almost like a wedding.....what happened to cake and ice cream????
