Grandma's Oatmeal Cake

Grandma's Oatmeal Cake is an old-fashioned cake made with rolled oats and topped with a coconut and slivered almond frosting.

I have a problem of not following recipes exactly, but this one I did for the cake. I had the ingredients for the topping but DH likes it with whipped topping. I have some in fridge to use up so that is what we did. We both really like it.
