Weird. When I weighed myself this morning, my scale said I was ~10 lbs lighter than the one at the doctor's office. While I think the Dr.'s scale is probably a bit more accurate (it was a new electronic scale), I do wonder if the difference in when I got weighed had anything to do with it as well (early evening at the Dr.'s office vs, first thing this morning). Not wearing vs. wearing shoes would only account for a minimal difference.

I am eating a bit better since the cafe at work is back to normal operations, which means my main meal will go back to being lunch, rather than dinner. At least, I hope so. Since the salad bar at the cafe reopened 6 weeks ago, I haven't been limited to the grab-n-go selections, and don't get hungry ~3 pm.

Either way, I think I am losing inches, rather than pounds. I know some of my pants are fitting better and I can get into a couple that are a size smaller, more comfortably. I could wear them before but they were tighter. Now they fit normally, and it's only been six months since I started Pilates.

The AARP class was disappointing - enough so that I logged off immediately and did not do the class. I'm used to Silver Sneakers where you just see & hear the instructor. People can type in the chat box but I can make that invisible if I choose. The AARP program was a ZOOM call and people were on camera and nobody seemed to be muted. So lots of noise and side conversation instead of getting ready to exercise. I'll just have to keep looking for something else.

Good to know. I don't really like watching exercise programs if I'm looking to do exercise to begin with. But yeah, a Zoom call 'class' is not the way to do one, unless the host turns off everyone's camera and mutes people. I've been on several Zoom related lectures where they turn off people's cameras and mikes, or tell them to do so.

Sorry it didn't work out for you.

The important thing is that you're seeing progress in the way your clothes fit, and that's a great sign. It sounds like your healthier eating habits are paying off, especially with the salad bar at work being back to normal operations. And I agree exercising via Zoom can be a bit of a challenge, but it's great that you're trying Pilates and finding it helpful. Keep up the good work, and don't forget to celebrate your successes along the way! By the way, have you heard of medicalweightlosslehighvalley.com? It's a great resource for anyone looking to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way. I'm new to this forum, too, and I was just curious how you're doing with your weight loss journey.

Picked up a 3-in-1 resistence cord to do some exercises at home. Already tried it out and like it so far. There are three cords of different resistence levels (obviously given the name). What's really neat is that the cords can be removed from the handles or clipped back in, depending on how much resistence is wanted or needed. So far, I'm just using the medium weight cord since the easy weight was a bit too light. I may alternate between the two, depending on what exercise I'm doing. I think there's also a website with more exercises I can go to.

The resistence cords are mostly for the upper body exercises. I have a yellow ball I'm using for lower body/leg exercises.
