We're heading in the wrong direction because we unpurged old window frames from the dump trailer today. We may be building a tool shed with clerestory windows, so the plan is to see if we can use 2 or more damaged frames (they are all damaged) to cobble together 1 good frame so we can get about 6 good windows out of the 15 or so we're replacing.

We're trashing the old window frames after all. They were bad windows in our house and would be bad windows in a new building, too. We're keeping the glass in case we build a greenhouse, but dumped all the frames from about 18 windows. That cleared out lot of space. The construction trailer is still at our house so it's easy to get rid of stuff like that and cheaper, too.

Another handful of old National Geographic magazines went to the little free library.

No bites on the reference book or the china. I took the china off sale. I think I listed it on the wrong type of sites. They literally sell stuff for $5 or give it away. Still thinking how to deal more effectively with it. If it were cheap china I’d say sure, five bucks is enough. But it’s not. I think I still have to separate myself emotionally from it, and I’m not quite sure if I’m ready to do that yet.

I watched a YouTube video on downsizing. It was a lecture a lady gave to a group of seniors. She had some good points to make. But I lost interest partway through the Q&A. I’ll finish watching it tomorrow. She did help with how to decide what I want to keep in the china cabinet.

Meanwhile, Hubby and I discussed furniture in the kitchen we could move to an apartment. We decided we needed a 2 BR apartment to start.

I also started looking, I mean really looking, at the books in the living room bookcase. There are about 11 of 30 odd books I would keep. Definitely time to downsize those. Most of them are field guides I will never use. Maybe some budding naturalist or biology student would be interested?
Bedrooms are important, but BATHROOMS make the difference! We downsized 5 years ago from a 3000 sq ft house to a 1330 condo. We love it. You just need to say "I want to do this" and all the "possessions" melt away. We donated to Habitat for Humanity, or the kids if they wanted anything. Just FYI. We are in a 2 bed, 3 bath. Moved into the city and love it!
