Did a Silver Sneakers workout today (upper body/core). I am tracking in a spreadsheet and have a not-impressive 2 hours total exercise time for January (does not include dog walking.) Need to do better in February.

Had my Pilates class today. I've also been using the yellow exercise ball several times over the past week and doing some of the PT homework exercises. I should do some of the other PT exercises as well. I think the weather sometimes does a number on my knee since it's been bugging me on and off the past week or so. But I have a pain relief salve that actually seems to work so I'm using that in the evenings.

The cafe at work is open again so I'm eating better at lunch. I regularly have salad for lunch during the week. I need to do better at dinner, though.

dlr: let me know what the Barre type workouts are like. They do sound interesting.

Sigh, my doctor increased the dosage of my thyroid medicine again. Thing is, I'm trying to eat better and have been doing a bit more exercise (not just the Pilates once a week).

Adding hand/wrist exercises to the list I should be doing. I am concerned about losing grip strengthdue to essential tremor in my dominant hand (take medication for this.) Focusing on core and upper body. I figure my legs get enough from dog walking and hiking.
Figured out how to create Youtube "play lists" so I don't have to hunt for the exercise videos I want to replay.

dlr: I agree - I need to do more exercises for core and upper body work for most of the week. I like that Pilates does a whole body focus and each class goes through exercises that targets each section of the body.

Creating Youtube play lists sounds like something I should look into, although I tend to bookmark the content creators I like.

Had another doctor's appointment, just a general quarterly check-up (to track how the meds are doing). Bad news is, I gained a couple of pounds. Sigh. Good thing is my blood pressure actually has gone down. Turns out one of the reasons I've been having issues with my thyroid meds is that I was taking it at the same time as my BP meds. Turns out I needed to take my thyroid meds alone on a empty stomach while I can take my BP meds later with breakfast.
