I know this is an old post, but worth bumping up. An inexpensive and easy way to start an emergency food supply.

Not only did I just find my emergency
food... but I think I found my camping
food as well... nothing needs to be stored in the fridge! I can make powdered milk per serving.

Just as important as food is the other supplies you need. We store 5 gallons of water per resident (including pets) and 10 gallons of "wash water" as well as a battery operated radio, flashlights, can opener (not used - this one is only for emergencies), manual coffee pot, matches, battery operated camp lantern. Not trying to prepare for the end of the world but to be able to survive 3-5 days in the event of a minor disaster.
