I watched a YouTube video having to do with this. Someone bought one of those disposable dumpster bags, or bagsters, and was going to grow a garden in it. This makes sense for me since I'll be renting when I move. My only issue is drainage. I don't remember if those things fill up with water or not. Has anyone ever tried this or can tell me if these things drain properly? The guy in the video didn't know either.

Since there are different kinds of those bags, ask before you buy one or after you buy one put some water in it and test it. You'll want the water to drain but not drain too quickly. One of the biggest problems with raised "beds" is that they dry out so quickly.

I've only seen one kind in my travels. I'll look into it further.

I second that raised beds dry quicker, but I love the ones that have the bottoms. SO much less weeding!!! Much healthier veggies.

Test drainage.. you can always slash a couple holes in the bottom if it doesn't drain well.
