Remember succession planting as well. Plant radishes now and again 2 weeks later. Things like this will maximize your output.

Plant spinach or leaf lettuce on the outside borders while the inside plants are small. (tomatoes, cabbage peppers, etc etc etc)

I paid $50 for my vermiculite. (It was 2 very large bags.) I had a very hard time finding the coarse.

Where at Pam? I might have to make a trip.
