I'm thankful my family is safe and so our homes. We had SEVERE storms
yesterday- been without power for most of 2 days. Tornados were
spotted in nearly every surrounding county- I played dodge the debri
in my tiny Hyundai on the way home from work last night.
Several of our neighbors lost machine sheds, combines, car
windshields and so forth- one tornado overturned a police car right
after I had passed by.
I managed to stop in time, before driving off into a creek that had
overflowed it's banks. I had to sit and wait nearly an hour for the
water to go down enough to cross. My usual 1 hour trip home took
almost 3 hours.
AND they are callig for even more storms tonight.
Anyone have an
ark for rent?
I forgot to add that there was soft ball sized hail- it knocked all
the windows out of our friends NEW van and put 2 cracks in my mom's
windshield *sigh*
