How did you apply for the national audubon award? Was it through a local chapter? Tell me more on being certified state vs. national.

For my backyard one through NWF it was easy. My property backed a nature center, so was certifiable as is. :D I just mailed my info off.

Mine was through NWF. Just like what I linked to, but I got my information before I was online out of a book I purchased.
I don't think our city has a chapter for audubon council, but I could look into that.
The NWF you can "purchase" a sign. LOL Not quite as nice. hehe
If you have time send me any info you have. I am aware of what I need to submit for NWF, but for anything else I have no clue.

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the links Sara, that is so cool! I've never thought about such a thing. I will look into it ,not only because I love birds but being situated on water with woods behind my home I have a unique environment for many birds.

Thanks for the link! I saw something about this in a magazine a few years ago, but lived in an apartment so I didn't have much of a chance then, but now we have alittle bit of land and we have one section where its all natural, will look into it.
