My family loves the orange shrimp sauce you get on the side at the

Japanese restaurant. The employee said it had mayo, sugar, salt, and

butter, but thats all she would reveal. The sauce is orange and sweet.

Anybody ever made this at home? I have searched on recipe sites, but so

far nothing seems to quite match. Thanks for any help.

I did a google for Benihana's Shrimp Sauce recipe and this is what I found. I LOVE their shrimp sauce! I haven't tried making this recipe yet.

Ingredients:
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic juice
3/4 teaspoon ketchup
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon white pepper

Directions:

Whisk together.

This recipe for Benihana Shrimp Sauce serves/makes 2.75 cups
