I'll be the first to admit, this is my indulgence. I have loved these games since the original. I currently have The Sims 2 with the Open for Business Expansion Pack.

I never really played The Sims, but I use to play Rollercoaster Tycoon. I loved that game and would play it for hours. We had all the expansion packs for it. Then everyone stopped playing it. I have no clue if we even still have it.

I used to have the first Sims games, i just had the most frustrating time with it. When i played thier house would burn, LOL... But when my son would play they'd be happily married with a baby! So i gave up.. If anyone could give me tips, i'd appreciate it! Now Roller Coaster Tycoon, i love that game! I still could play that for hours.

Yes, I use the money cheats. I didn't like coming home after a hard day of work and playing Sims who have to go to a hard day of work and felt like me when they got home. I like the social interaction and building/arranging furniture aspect of the game. I don't use any cheats on the open for business pack, I like the challenge of running a good business.

Another Sims 2 fanantic here. I started out falling in love with The Sims 1 but once I got my grubby little hands on the Sims 2 that was it. Finally I have something to waste unbelievable amounts of time on. :crackup:

I have all the expansion packs. I budget for them though and get really excited when a new pack comes out. It's an addiction. And I'm weird, I don't play with cheats. I like the challenge of making my Simmies work for whatever they want rather than just giving it to them.

Now if only I could get my real life to run as smoothly as my Sims lives do.

I have the original The Sims with all the expansion packs....and hundreds of houses!!! I admit I do use cheats, but not consistently. I have houses where the 'point' or 'goal' I assigned myself was a certain level of career and/or finances without cheats. Other times, I use cheats and go CRAZY with the architectural/interior design aspects. I even download furniture from online sites to get the perfect 'look.' I'm in Switzerland right now for school, and I admit that I've missed The Sims terribly.(It was on my desktop computer back home, not my laptop.)

I love playing the Sims. We have the deluxe collection. Sometimes I use the cheats and sometimes I don't. I like to create characters who live by making crafts or the nectar. I also like making houses by the dozen. I introduced my sister to the game, and she plays it as well.

When my kids got the Sims 2 games... I inhereted their Sims 1 games that I installed on my laptop. I love to play, I have a "Harry Potter" neighborhood, a "Holiday" neighborhood, a "Movie/TV show" neighborhood and a "real life" neighborhood.

For me.. the most fun was building the neighborhoods and creating the families. If I'm actually sitting down to play... I play my "real life" neigborhood.

I know....a 40 year old woman playing video games... geez.... lol

Hi. My name is KFinTX and I am a Sims2-aholic. :blush: I have all the expansion packs, but enjoy Uni, Seasons, Pets & Bon Voyage the most. I completely ignore the Open for Business & Nightlife packs. I didn't enjoy them (in fact, I hate OFB) when I installed them on my desktop, so I just loaded them on my laptop when I got the lap top.

I try not to play the cheats, since they can really mess up your game. When I do, I turn them off immediately after using them.
