:hot: Happy Spring everyone!

With the snow slowly melting away, the sun shining more often and the temperature slowly on the rise, are we all starting to 'wake up' and come out of our winter blahs? Or if you live where the weather is already warm, have you noticed that spring has finally been sprung? (har, har) More to the point, are we all feeling more ambitious yet? :boat:

For me, my April goals are simple:

* put $500 into savings/EF
* try to spend only $100 for the monthly groceries
* try to finish off my book and start a new one
* try to declutter 1/2 hour a day - 3 times/wk
* swim 2-3 times/wk and use the gazelle 1-2 times/wk
* try to cut back on gas usage and over spending
* lastly - to visit my friends and godson

:laundry: What goals have you got in mind for this April?

We had gorgeous weather yesterday it was 80 but 60 and trying to rain today. It definately is feeling more springlike here though. My April goals are to keep cooking and not eating out. We have been doing very well with that and I want to get even better. To put one of my paychecks into savings. Also to start walking on my treadmill or outside when it is nice. I have got to start exercising.:)

I'm always so bad at keeping up with the goals I've set. They generally get done eventually but I slip up a lot too. Got to keep trying to stay focused.

For April
~ grocery/household budget under $250.00
~ gas budget under $250.00
~ some form of excersize 20 minutes a day/5 days a week
~ cigerettes go away again by mid-month

My April goals are:

No eating out-I have been really good about this lately and I am enjoying having the extra money.
I am going to use up my white paint stored down in the basement and paint the woodwork around the house.
Spring clean!!! Wash all of the curtains, throw rugs, shampoo the carpet, etc...
My grocery budget for the month is no more than $200-that is including a small party I am having at the end of the month...
I am using cash for everything..

Good luck to all in attaining their April goals....

We should have the house ready to put on the market this month, so my goal will be to keep it looking show-ready. I've also been asked to teach an additional class this spring, so I have a new goal in getting that class going. I'm really struggling with the food budget, so will continue to work on that in April.

How the April goals have went: spend no more than $300 on groceries; spent $311.90, keep residual spending to $300 for the month; blew this in a big way...computer died so had to pay to get it fixed, put minimum of $100 in EF; success here! Now have $1000, clean out shed; some success need more nice weather to complete, clean out flower beds; success here! and purge some more stuff; lots of success here, I can see my basement :D...
