I have only taken a cab once in Las Vegas. They charged by distance not the number of passengers. We will be flying in to KY for a memorial service. The hotel has a shuttle for $15 per person. Our party is 5. The hotels website states that cab service is approx $18. So would that be for all 5 of us or is a cab more based on occupancy?

I have had to take a taxi to work in the morning, and if I didn't call them the night before and made arrangements i would not get to work on time, because they dropped off another person first.

It cost me not by passenger It cost me $8 to ride 15 miles.

Take the taxi.

This might help you.

Try googling taxicab rates in the city you are flying into. You should be able to get the rates. Even if you have to take two taxi's you may end up saving money if everyone pitches in.

In this area taxicabs are a big rip off and they seem to go where ever they please and pick up whoever they want while you are in the cab.
