Curious after I saw that other post about the gal's new bra. Are yall frugal when it comes to bras/underwear etc etc? Do you pay extra because you feel it's worth it? Where do you buy?
If you're a larger size, where do you get your "frugal" bras? I swear I get sick of paying upwards of 60-70 a bra!:shake:

~I try to get overstocks/outlet stuff on Ebay. I can buy my fancy shmancy $50 bras for less than $20 that way. DH always gets me a little pink gift card for my birthday which I use for something fun and some 5 for $25 undies. I can't stand cheap undies.~

I buy the $18.00 bras at Walmart and the .88 cent undies! :shhh:

Yes I'm frugal with both. I got my bras from my mother several years ago and I still wear them (very simple, no underwire or overly stretchy parts). I get my underwear from a dollar store...but they are actually very good quality. 1" elastic at the waist, gusset lining etc. and hold up well to washing.

The most frugal method (and the healthiest) is to go braless! And to heck with the undies.. I mean.. really the thongs cost more than ever for a small patch. You've weaned yourself that far.. might as well wean all the way... you won't notice the difference.
THAT'S Frugal.

Once a month doesn't apply.

If you have to wear a bra cuz you're flopping... your breast health is important. A good fitting, well constructed bra is essential for everyday wear.
If you want to have a naughty bra and it's not going to be used for support or for very long ;) - go with the walmart sexy look- but otherwise - don't scrimp on an important detail.

As for larger breasts. Lady Grace, Cacique, lane bryant are good sources.

Ugh how I wish I could wear WalMart bras. I rarely see them above a D. Lane Bryant is rather pricy but still not too bad I guess.
I've tried VS bras but their DD is really small it seems. I don't know if their products are just cut smaller or what.
Ebay is a really good idea.
Underwear by the way for me is bought from walmart for an average of about 2.00 a piece so I'm pretty cheap on that.

I only buy Playtex but I always watch for a sale. JCPenny is really good about having sales on them. The last time I bought them there they were less than $13.00 each. I have to have a good bra because I need the support. For undies I usually buy the packages from Wal-mart. I usually wait for a sale on those too.

I wish I could go bra-less! But, alas, I am large. I have found some good dept store deals for around $15 that fit well. My mom is so good about hand washing to make them last, but I haven't been so good about it. I restock about once a year. I usually go with the package undies, though. Not too expensive.

I wear them out. Dh has to drag me to the store to get more. Bras are just sooooo expensive and I really do not like spending money on myself that I could pay off cc's with or save.

I did find a good place to find a bra. Kohl's has some cute ones in their junior's bras and they are just as good as the ones i buy from jc penney. the last one i bought for $10 on sale.

I have had the same 2 bras for 3 years and I have 3 bras that are really old. I can't even remember what I paid for each one, but knowing me they were under $10 a piece. As for undies, I buy them once a year at VS. I use my $10 off birthday coupon they send me and I buy 5 for $25 and then only pay $15 total :). They seem to last a long time and I get a new 5 pairs each year.
