There is so much good in the worst of us,
And so much bad in the best of us,
That it hardly becomes any of us
To talk about the rest of us.
~Edward Wallis Hoch

Judging Others

It is brought to my attention, time and time again, about
positive verses negative energy and feelings. Isn't it much
easier to just go with the flow and be negative? Isn't it easier
to just judge people and not even give them a chance??

Why is it, we're taught from childhood to be nice, to have
manners, to not judge a book by its cover, and to share. But as
adults that can be some of the hardest things for us to do??

I spend my life, trying to share many things. Spirit reminds me
that old things pass away and all things become new. I try to
focus on today. I have to remind myself of this often. The past
is there as a story. I may remember, and learn from it, cry about
it, laugh and hold some memories close to my heart.

I know what it's like to be judged before being given a chance.
It happens everyday of our lives. We all look different

sound different

think different

dress different

and our hearts are different.

That's the key.

Some say, I need to be a certain way or to think and act a
certain way. I used to ask why. My heart and my relationship to
my Creator are for me, a personal thing. I also believe in
sharing my thoughts, when someone wants to know. Sharing my
happiness and positive energy.

I don't have a perfect life! What is that anyway?

Do you know?

Our lives are what we make of them. We work with higher beings
and energies to form and have the things we need and desire.
We're in control of the decisions we make. Personally, I also
believe that all things happen for a reason. To teach us and to
help us.

Others opinions, are just that. They could be wrong, just as I am
at times. We all know we have opinions. They can change often and we should be big enough to say when we're wrong.

So, why is it so difficult for some people to "not" act petty and
let others have their own beliefs? Why is it that some can't let
things go?" I see and read things everyday, that I don't agree
with, but I don't write the person and tell them I think they're
wrong. I mean, what purpose does that have? We all make mistakes and have our own thoughts.

There's so much to learn. Why muddle it all up with judging,
being petty and with negative thoughts and actions?

Let's all help each other to grow in light, love and positive
thinking. Sharing our thoughts, but not demanding that others
believe and think the way we do. Make someone feel good today,
instead of being like a large percentage of the world.

Make a difference,

go out on a limb,

stand your ground,

hug someone,

just because*.

Look at things from a different angle.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Have compassion, in a world that has way too little of it. Oh
yes, negative and positive. We have choices.

We all have the right to believe what we want to believe, and be
who we want to be, walk the path we choose, without fear of
judgment. We need to look at each other with love, in all
circumstances, which takes practice and possibly a few lifetimes.
Let's all strive to be one. In peace, I leave these thoughts.
