Did not see an August tread yet.

I am in for $120 for the month.
This is for 3 adults and 1 teen.
I am trying to eat through my stockpile and make room for new stuff.
I have kept track of all of my spending since April 1 and have averaged $35-$40 a week. So I am lowering it a bit since school starts this month there won't be as much snacking going on.
The garden is giving lots of fresh veggies so that is helping lots in the produce department.
Hoping I can stick to the budget.

WOW $120 for the MONTH!!

I bet I COULD do it cause of what I have in the house. Hmmm...that would be only $30 per week at the grocery store

Hmm......let me up my anti a bit.

I will try for ONLY $60 for each week. That will be $30-50 less per week (varies due to sales)

There best not be any major sales that I would want to stock up on this month...HA HA HA

And upping the anti for myself.....for every dollar I spend under $100 per week (hopefully my $60) I will put that money in a special envelope. That could be $120 to $200 for the month. Not sure what I will do with the cash, maybe use it for the next months groceries????

hey staying ahead of the grocery game.....might work....will see

thanks for the boost. I got something to challenge myself with next month!!

I am almost in the same exact place. Too much stockpile, fresh food from the garden, aiming for 200.00 hoping for less.

I'm sticking with my $300 a month for 2 adults. This includes food, H&B, cleaning supplies, and stockpiling.

I'm in for $400 for a family of 4. We've been way over that over the last 2-3 months. We have a descent pantry now and fairly good freezer. What we need to do is stay the heck out of the restaurants.

OK $300 for the month (four adults) with a fair amount of stockpile to use up (house is on the market, and I've been thinking lately about how badly it would suck to have to move all this stuff!!)

I'm in again for the same amount $250-groceries, HBA, pet food, for 2 adults, 2 dogs, 1 cat & 39 chickens. Between garden, chickens free ranging, dog food stockpile, and free bag of cat food for a survey test, I think I'll be able to stockpile some manager special meats too.
