Black Beans and Pork in the Crock Pot

Recipe Description
A very cheap and filling recipe, lots of leftovers!
Preparation Steps:
Rinse beans. Soak overnight in a bowl with lots of water. Dice onion and pepper.
Level of Difficulty:
Time Needed:
10 minutes prep, 12 hours cooking on low
- 1 lb dried black beans
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 3 cups water
- 2t cumin
- 2t salt
- 1t pepper
- 1t garlic powder
- 3 big pork chops, or one pound of your favorite pork cut
8 or more
After soaking the beans, rinse once more and dump in the crockpot. Add onion, pepper, water, and seasonings, and stir together. Dump meat right on top. My meat was frozen and it cooked just fine and was very tender. Cook on low for about 12 hours, or until the beans are tender. Serve over rice.
