Our youngest child (a son) acquired a severe traumatic brain injury due to a car accident in 2001, just a few weeks before he was due to graduate from high school.
Since that time our local chapter of the BIA of Michigan has been more help than any other organization concerning different abilities. We participate faithfully with our local chapter. I would like to encourage those who may know someone with a TBI to contact their state office to find a chapter near them. Everyone needs to know that they aren't alone and everyone needs support every now & again.
