The sneaky buggers at Time Warner have been slowly bumping up the price of what used to be a cheap telecommuter internet. I'd noticed it but I hadn't realized it had nearly doubled until I saw yet another increase on today's eBill. I called to see what the dealio was and she immediately offered me a rate close to the original and froze it for a year.

It pays to watch and complain! Now to wait until next years attempt to rip me off.

They love to nickle and dime us to death. Now the modem they installed years ago they are starting to charge us for another equipment fee. DH checked to buy one and it would take two years to recoup our investment on it. We only have 20 channels on our TV and internet. We can't get reception on an Antenna or we would got to that!

Also tried reception with an antenna but between the high tension wires and switching station it doesn't work. Right now I do not have to pay for my cable boxes but in a year will be paying for two of them.

Heard something on the news today about some type of lawsuit? against Time Warner because of a fee they just applied to customers. Great that you were able to get your bill reduced.

internet tv

I had heard this works with some companies. Unfortunately NOT ours. Sudden Link has a monopoly in our area. They charge what they want and could care less about their customers. A few years ago, our cable cost had climbed to something like 60 dollars a month!
They offered NO discounts when I called. So we canceled and you could not pay ME to go back to them.
We have used internet TV now for years for a fraction of the cost. Amazon prime has about $80 a year (or $6.66 a month...but I also get free ebooks and free 2 day shipping from amazon as well). Netflix is about $8 a month. Hulu is about $8 a month. So our cost is $22.66 (less than half).
