You know who you are. I know who you are here! :p You know the ones that makes a new dish from a new recipe. You rather spend money on a new recipe than clothes.

You are proud of the new dish. You just need to take a pic and show the presentation.

It's like "food porn pics."

I loved this dish I made....

I want to get back in the kitchen. I've slacked because I have a 2 year old that loves to climb on the counters. lol. So it's hard for me.

However...I would love to take pics of a dish I made and show it here.

How about you?

What do you think?

This would be a 2010 "food pic challenge."

Hahahaha - I like that idea. I enjoy food porn, drives the bf nuts. I eat it, I like to research it, watch it on tv - non stop food tv!! Drives him right batty! LOL

There are two variations I can think of for your challenge though.

#1 - make whatever/whenever and just post

#2 - make a theme meal/dish, let others modify it to their liking and post a pic this way they'd all be diff vs several people making the same thing which all the pics could look the same (but this kinda sounds like the baking challenge of the month or something similar to it? I didnt participate so I'm not sure how it works)

Everyone would have to make a special photo album for these pics though or else the site would get bogged down with pics in the threads.

This sounds neat. Just don't expect pics from me unless you have never seen a pic of basic spaghetti. lol. however, I will definitely be watching what the good cooks post . Hopefully it will give me inspiration to become a better cook. I love the food channel. It is my favorite, I just need to step up my game and start trying some new things.
Palooka - The picture of the dish you posted looks very good.

OK, I think I can do this. There are a couple of sites that I go to on a regular basis, that have great recipes and fantastic pictures of the food. I mainly cook on the weekends so I can take pictures then! I'll look forward to seeing other peoples pictures!

I'm in, if I can figure out how to post a photo here. The "Insert Image" icon or what? I guess it doesn't load a photo directly from your computer? I mean you have to have the photos downloaded into another site like Webshots or Flickr?

Yes, it does. When you go to post...go to 'advanced post'....and screen will come up that will let you download a pic from your computer (max 600 Pix) - get pic from your computer - click 'upload' - then click 'reply' at the post.

I'm going to try this. I need to get in the habit of taking food pics for my blog and for a family recipe book I'm hoping to make in the future.

That pasta looks excellent!! YUM!!

Wellllllllllll.....hey......let me be right up there with the first to post and to brag!!! My picture of MY food!!

If you read the other threads, you know I love to bake.

I had my first (VIRGINAL :yikes: ) attempt at making baklava this year. So.......I shared and THREE people that have bought the baklava at Costco and other places said: "this is much better than the Costco baklava, and it is the best baklava I have had!!!" YYYYAAAAHHOOOOO! That made me feel pretty good!!! BUT.......as you can tell by my pic, I got a little carried away with the goodies (nuts, cinn. etc) and even put it on top!!

This pic was taken while it was sitting to soak up the honey. It turned out like 'golden brownies' (not real light, like bak.) but it was soooooooooo good!!! (ps - the bare spots were where I had been 'picking' -)

Now if we could just figure out a way to upload the smell and taste along with the picture....I adore baklava!!

Trying this...

Thanks so much for the help in uploading info. If I've done this correctly, you should see a photo of some 'Hamburger' Cookies that my youngest grandson and I made in August. These are fun to do, and look sooo much like hamburgers.
