In my statistic class I learned that it is statisticly set for the casino to win 52 to 60 % of the time. You might win but over all most will lose.

I have been twice -- both times I took only the amount of money I planned to spend on "entertainment" for that weekend. Once was $40 and once was $14. I came back with $0 both times!! I won and lost throughout the night -- but since I was just there for fun, I didn't quit while ahead and I didn't cry when I was behind. I only played the nickle machines. Between the cigarette smoke and my hinney getting sore from sitting there, it just isn't anything I would do again!!

The only time we go to a casino is whe we are on a cruise. We find the odds are better at sea.

Don't believe in them - just like lotteries. The people who take advantage of them are generally people who can't afford to do it in the first place.

I've never been but have wanted to for years.Some of the guys dh works with go several times a month.Some win,some lose.Here a few months back one man's wife won $10,000..I know that doesn't happen very often but I sure did have an itch to go :laugh:

Yep, we go. Not very much anymore. I think we went once this year, which is a big change from going 6-8 times a year. We never spent more than we could afford. We go for enjoyment and that is our entertainment. Same as when we go on any other vacation. But, we have been going for so many years, that the casino gives us rooms and meals for free, so gambling money is our only expense besides gas to get there.

We go a couple of times a year. I take my $10 or so and play the nickel machines. If everyone gambled like I do, the casinos would be broke in a hurry!

im going this sat to ac.. my brother is treating my mom and im going along for the ride..i plan on bring 50 or 60 dollars with me but if the mall is fixed(it was in the shape of a ship) i may spend some money there

I've gone a couple of times. The first time I took $20 and won $100 on the quarter machines. I was done after that.

The second time my mil took my dh and I and gave us each $100 to spend. We ended up giving her over half back because we just couldn't stand to lose that much money.

One of dh's assistant managers just turned 21 last week and blew $500 at the boat in one night. Her excuse was she thought she would win it back if she kept spending money! She had the nerve the next day to complain because her bonus check wasn't enough to cover her boat loss!

We have machines everywhere here, and i very rarely play them, I only pay like a dollar or so at a time. *5 bars in town and they all have machines* I have never really been to a casino though. Sometimes i will win and sometimes i lose my dollar, and that sucks.
