So here's the story:
:smooch: was never a spendthrift -- generally he's pretty good about being frugal and helping me out. But he and I are both way too impulsive. At any time, we'll both say, "Let's go out to eat" or "Let's go see that movie" or something else. But truth be told, we can't really afford it.
Well, enter "Rich by Thirty" -- a little paperback :smooch: picked up at the bookstore when I went in to buy my copy of "The Secret". Now he's all about saving money. He's talking about when we have a house, and when we can start saving for our retirement, and when we can begin thinking about travelling. It's fantastic! I am so happy.
In a sense, I can attribute it to the power of attraction -- I asked him to look into setting up a budget and stuff before, and he wasn't keen on the idea. Three months later, he is ready and we can begin looking at our financial future with a broader scope than just the end of the month. That's a great feeling.
