In the past we had a family dinner w/ lots of relatives. Lately it was just me and DH as the kids are far or w/ BF's family or in the service. So i decided for a quiet small meal and we diverted money to buy 12 meals for 12 families less the turkey which is provided. (800 given away to those who are in need and registered. So has anyone else changed to celebrating in a non traditional way?

I volunteer in a food shelf and we also gave out almost 800 turkeys!! Thank you, it makes a difference to a lot of people.

I spent my first T-day all alone and I was fine. Ate non-traditional foods. Got a lot of work done.
