1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup (6 oz.) miniature semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1 1/2 cups applesauce
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup semisweet miniature chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2-3 tablespoon half-n-half
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and melted chocolate; mix well.
Add applesauce and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon batter into 4 greased mini loaf pans.
Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until done.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
For glaze, melt chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan; stir in cream.
Remove from heat; stir in sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Drizzle over warm bread.
Yield: 4 mini loaves.
