Take seed catalogues or any pictures out of old magazines that you like. Cut them into pieces and modge podge them onto the pot. Then put 2 coats of shellac on top of this.

I have always wanted to do this. A friend of mine does that kind of stuff all the time, she has made some beautiful stuff!

You can also do this with plain cheap vases you pick up at a yard sale or at wal mart.
