With thoughts of the new year not far away, I can't help but wonder what my new year resolution will be. I know its early to start thinking about that, but I need to be thinking about what I can reflect on and change to help better my frugal ideas and ways. I want to set realistic goals and not set anything that's not realistic.....thats the reflection I need to think about. I know "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail", so I am hoping by starting early I can plan it out well with frugal ideas to put in to action that will better the way we do things.

Anyone else thinking about what they are planning for the new year? New plans of action that you want to take? Any new ideas for the new year?

I hope by starting this early we can help each other come up with some new ideas that would be helpful for the new year coming up!

Only thing that comes to mind real quick .....is to fiqure out something/s that I can make at home to sell online and at craft shows next year. Something serious and in quanity. I don't want to work out anymore.

And find more frugal things to do :)

I usually don't make resolutions, but I am this year and I'll be having help. We plan on paying off our TransAm, then taking the extra money and applying that to the Harley payment to pay it off sooner.

What new frugal challenges do you want to start? I am looking forward to the "no eating out" and also want to do the change jar, and look forward to all the new challenges that come along thoughout the new year. I hope to get an early start and begin the new year with all kinds of hope in hanging in to make a better year of paying down debt.

I started a couple challenges this month that I may continue into the new year: day by day challenge, to the penny full disclosure challenge, etc.

I have been generally mulling over what resolutions to set for myself, but life has been so hectic the last couple of months, I haven't really set down and thought hard. I want to be able to not only come up with resolutions, but also the game plans to make them happen.

Happily, I have the next two weeks off from work!! Time to reflect and reorganize, and prepare for the first year of the rest of my life. :)

My resolution will be the same as this year and the years before that... to not make unrealistic expectations of myself in the guise of "New Years Resolutions"

There are things I would like to be able to look back on a year from now and be happy about...

~ Being a good emotional provider to my family
~ Making more memories with my family
~ Being as creative as I can be
~ Staying financially afloat
~ Keeping a fully funded BEF
~ Having and keeping a full funded 6 month fund
~ Having money for the vacation to Universal in May 2010
~ Paying all bills on time and some ahead of schedule

Now that Christmas is over, I am wondering if anyone has started really thinking what things they want to change in the new year, not just resolutions, but how and what they really want to change during the new year. I keep thinking of all the things I need to change, and am hoping that you will spark some new ideas for me.
I know I have a ton of different things that need working on.......so please add your to the list and lets support each others efforts.
Thanks so much to all of you that have gave me new ideas!

I joined madhen's weightloss challenge. That'll include resolutions to exercise 20 minutes a day, start weightlifting, and trying to get 40-50% of my calories from raw food :)
