Company Meatloaf


Recipe Description
This is my hubby's favourite supper. It's a definate must-try. You'll never want to go back to your old meatloaf recipe again after eating this!!!

Preparation Steps:
Get one large bowl, a loaf pan and a small bowl (for the topping).

Prepare the grated cheese, finely chopped onion and grated carrot before-hand to save time.​

20 min. + cooking time​
Ingredients:
2 large eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1-1/4 cups finely chopped onion
2/3 cup grated carrot
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp seasoning salt
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

1-1/2 lbs lean ground beef (I always use about 1 lb.)

Topping:
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp prepared mustard​
Serves:
6 to 8 ppl​
Directions:
Beat eggs together in bowl. Add next 9 ingredients. Stir. Let stand for 5 minutes to moisten bread crumbs.

Add ground beef. Mix well. Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 1 hour. Drain.

Topping: Mix ketchup, brown sugar and mustard in small bowl. Spread over top of meatloaf. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes. Drain off any remaining fat. Cuts into 8 slices.​
