Today I made my first Crock Pot meal and I must say I was happy with it before it was even done. I usually make Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole in the oven but I wanted to try something new. So I made Creamy Chicken and green beans. It will be served over rice that has already been made. Here are the ingredients and how I made it.
:chef2:
2 chicken breast (cut into 1/4 filets
1 Can Shoprite brand Cream of Chicken soup
1 Big Tablespoon of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Cup Swason's Chicken Broth (actually a little over a cup)
1/2 lbs Fresh Green Beans (cut into 1 inch sections)
1/2 Cup Milk
I added Milk, Broth, Cream Cheese and Soup together in a pan on the stove to heat and stirred til blended. I poured half of it into my 2 qt slow cooker and added all of the green beans. I then added the chicken and covered with the remaining soup mixture. I set it on high. I let it cook a couple hours and then turned it down to low.
I ate before my boyfriend basically cause I wanted to make sure it was edible lol. It was good. He had some while I was taking a bath. When I got out of the bath he told me it was the best chicken I've ever made. That made me feel warm inside since he usually compliments my cooking but not like that. Well this was my first post. Many more to come.
