Crockpot Beef Burgundy


Recipe Description
Yum.​
Preparation Steps:
Brown the beef cubes in the bacon fat. Put bacon pieces and beef cubes into CP. Add remaining ingredients and also water.... enough to just cover the beef.​
Level of Difficulty:
Easy​
Time Needed:
4-6 hours in CP​
Ingredients:
1# bacon, cooked crisp and broken into pieces (save the grease)
3 pounds of cubed beef
1-1/2 c. red wine
1/2 c. chopped onion
8 oz. sliced canned mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
one 15 oz. can beef broth
salt and pepper to taste​
Serves:
6-8​
Directions:
Cook in CP for 6-8 hours on low. Before serving, thicken with flour/water mixture, or corn starch/water mix, as you would with gravy.

Serve over hot noodles.​
