Does anyone do weekly CVS ECB deals?

Today I got:
4- 3pk Ivory soap
2- Yardley soap
2-Wet & Wild mascara
2_Wet & Wild eyeshadow
1- Crest Pro Health rinse
1-Oral-B Pulsar toothbrush
After $5 ECB and coupons I paid $5.76 and got back $5.50 in ECB

We have been living out of my stockpile cabinet for awhile, time to start restocking it!

OK, here's mine:

2) 1L Crest ProHealth Mouthwashes
2) Oral B Pulsar Toothbrushes
1 8ct Excedrin PM
1 Colgate 360 Surround Toothbrush
2) L'Oreal Eye Shadows

After all my coupons, I paid $3.17, of which $2.39 was tax. I used $37.00 in coupons, and received $17.00 in ECB.

I love shopping at CVS! I usually break my purchases down into 2 -3 transaction so that I pay next to nothing out of pocket. I love rolling over the ECBs.

Thank goodness I had a patient cashier this week- after 2 transaction and loading 3 yo into the car, I realized the toothbrushes that should have been $2.79, get $2 ECBS ran up as $4.50 each, no ECBs. No $4.50 toothbrushes are allowed to cross our thresh hold, so back in I went, receipt and child in hand. She took a look, rolled her eyes and said 'the toothbrushes ALWAYS screw up'. We got that fixed and I paid .29 a piece between the correct price, my coupon, and ECBs back. MUCH BETTER. I think my local Sunday morning CVS employees are getting used to me and my obsessions with ECBs and coupons! There is a GREAT website 'I heart CVS' dot com, that previews upcoming sales so you can get your coupons ready and plan your shopping in advance...though lately it's only showing 1 week ahead instead of 2-3 like it used to.

I still don't get the CVS thing. I think I just really need to pay attention as I just can't seem to figure it out. Same with Walgreens and the others.

any simple beginner steps you can give me?

I love CVS!

I walked in with a $3 off 15(I get multiple of these every week from the machine!) and 14 ECBS to begin with

I bought:

*4 Axe body washes using BOGO coupons and they had a bonus shampoo 2n1 travel size attached on each
*1 Soleil Shimmer
*1 Gillette Fusion Power Razor
*2 Skinny Cow Single Candy Bars
*18ct Kotex U Pantiliners (free coupon from the machine)

I paid $3.87 and received 12 ECBS and it will be enough to put me over to my next $5 ECBS for the Beauty Club. Hope to print that out later this week.

Interesting deals - what machine? I am heading there this afternoon - shall post what I get. Our CVS is slowly taking over a locally owned chain so we don't get all the mainland goodies - but certainly more than over.

Most CVS's have a coupon machine at the store. I scan my card in it everyday I am there. It gives out all kind of extra above and beyond coupons.

You can get
100% free items
$3 off of $15
and smaller coupons off certain products.

Anyone get the Revlon lipstick/nail polish deal that ended on Saturday 8/6? The sale price was $5.79 w/ $3EB. I believe the limit was like 6 offers? There was a $3 off $10 makeup purchase coupon that printed from the in store coupon machine.

I pickup 2 lipsticks $11.58 -$3coupon -$1 (Revlon coupon) & a $2EB from last week's purchase = $5.58 + tax!!!
Received $6EB for next purchase! What a deal!

When I was starting my stockpile I used CVS a great deal. Now I mainly just look around in CVS. Sometimes I can get a good deal. Usually whatever I get a CVS I can get cheaper at Shoprite with sales and coupons. I do like the convenience of having a CVS within walking distance and really like their pharmacy.

I like to try to keep my ECBs rolling and I am spending next to nothing to do it but it does take time to plot, some $$$ to get started and going to cvs multiple times a week. (and other stores..follow the best deal)

You need to have your coupons organized and matched to the sale. Work the ads. I get a minimum of 4 Dallas paper a week.

This method is NOT about buying what you need NOW, it's about getting the best possible deal on the sale, the coupons, and rolling the ECB and adding the item to the stockpile for use when you do need it. You are building or as I like to say INVESTING in the future.

If the deal of the week is toothpaste .50 cheaper and you also have .75 off coupons and you have 4 coupons and they are offering $1 ECB bucks off the purchase of 2 then GO FOR IT!

50+75=$1.25 off the cost($3.00 a tube regular) so lets say it is now$1.75 a tube.

1.75x 4= $7.00 - $2.00 ECBs for later is $5.00.

$3.00 x4=$12.00 regular.

So with the sale and the coupons you are saving $5.00 right off the top on 4. Then subtract the ECBs and you are saving $7.00 and getting 2 tubes of toothpaste free(plus another dollar).

Work it girls, work it.

So now we have 4 toothpastes. Decide how many toothpastes you need for 6 month or 3 months or however big you have determined you want your stock to be and get what you need and then STOP.

From there you continue on to the next great deal and before you know it you would have gotting a stock of everything you need to run your home at a minimum cost to the family budget.

Remember go for the deal and NOT what you need if what you need is not a great deal. If you need a bottle of shampoo just get one and wait until you can get it $2.00 off next month and stock!

Before you know it you will see the results and you will save money.
