Sunday, July 15th..

*Wanted to eat out after church, but got breakfast instead of lunch - Dspent $19 instead of the usual $25
*Decided to get another A/C unit (we have been debating this for a month) and got the smallest, cheapest one Best Buy had - and I used a coupon I found online for another $12 off
*Went to a local farmer's market - not sure how cheap this is, but got a pound of tomatoes, 7 ears of corn, 1/2 lb of cherries, and a bunch of bananas for $5.02. I know that the bananas ($.18/lb) are way cheaper than any grocery store around here.
*Using leftover buffalo sauce to make buffalo chicken for dinner
*Resisting stopping at Dunkin Donuts for iced coffee on the way home
*Childproofing the house using a kit that we got at our baby shower
*Made some HM baby food and put up the extras for future use

Entire Week

Wash clothes in cold water and hang them out!
Keep on top of my gardening chores, watering, weeding and basic every day care.
Eat every meal at home.
Make sure all errands are done at one time to prevent wasted gas.
Pay all bills on time so there will be no late fee's.
Lights and appliances off in rooms that are not being used.
AC turned up to 78
Curtains drawn to block hot midday sunlight and heat.

We ate at some friends' home today so no money was spent on lunch, however they live about 20 miles away (in the country) so we did use up some gas to get to and from. They gave us some zucchini though so maybe this makes up for the gas spent?!

This week:
AC turned up to 80+ during the day and 72-74 while were here in the evenings
All meals at home this week
Take lunch (and library book!) to work so I don't have to waste gas coming home
Lights off as much as possible
Washing in cold and using drying rack as much as possible
No spend days all week if possible (although electric bill and DH's car payment are due) EXCEPT for Friday night when the final Harry Potter book comes out!!!!!!!!!! But I'll be getting it at Wal-Mart where there will be a huge discount!!!!!!

Sunday:
*No a/c
*No laundry
*No dishwasher
*Made breakfast and leftovers for lunch.
*Great deals on school supplies
*Grabbed tacos from local mexican restaurant for dinner but brought home for drinks and rice. Had coupon. 6 tacos for $2.50! yummy!
*Picked up free bag of magazines on way home. Using for art project this week.

Monday:
*I have a TON of coupons for grocery shopping. Just started using ************** and got lots of tips to websites for coupons and ways to get them. I emailed some companies I get their brand of food from and they sent me coupons for free items and big $$$ off! Got most of those coupons Saturday! Made list. And most of items should be free or cheap.(except milk and meat) so should spend less then $20 today for big shopping trip!! Will post tomorrow how much and what!!
*Making huge batch of soup wth leftover veggies and meatballs from spag earlier in week. Will be lunch today with some garlic bread. Should feed all 8 kids today and dinner later in week!
*No a/c
*No laundry
*No dishwasher
*Rain all this week so no watering needed!
*Need gas for grocery trip but only putting $10 hoping gas prices will lower before I need more.
*Neighbor ran over some veggies. I gave her weekend paper.

Wow! That is awesome about the coupons. That coupon site you use, how complicated is it? I ask, because some of the sample sites make you jump through some major hoops! With working FT, running an oline store, and family time I need something quick and easy.

Just so you know... if there's a Target near you, they have the book (hardcover) on sale for a dollar less than Walmart. I know it's only a dollar but I try to stay away from Walmart as much as I can.

Set a/c at 75 instead of usual 73.
Pull curtains closed in the PM.
No eating out.
Run to the dollar tree instead of Walmart if possible.
Save leftovers.
Go to the public library instead of the bookstore.
Turn of lights not in use.
Keep doors closed to help keep the house cooler.
Buy bread at the bread store, it is cheaper.
