I down loaded a bunch of free mags from my library. I tried them on my phone (great pics, print so small not useable), Nook, mediocre, again small screen, so iPad mini wins out.

My question is can you read the mags on your laptop? they let you use so many devices, it seems dumb not to use your laptop

I have a Kindle so I can read my Kindle books on either the device, my phone or my laptop - and the app keeps them in sync with each other. I can read my book on my phone while waiting in line then when I get home it will automatically sync up with my other devices so I can continue reading on my Kindle device from where I left off. Magazines are probably the same way.
