I'm trying to figure out cooking times for a 2-quart small batch Crockpot. The instruction book says for regular recipes for stove or oven, a cook time of 30 minutes translates to 6-8 hours on LOW in a Crockpot. No way! Not in a little one. I rarely cook things that long even in my big 6 quart version. I'm guessing 2-3 hours at most for the small size, but if anyone has tips for using this size cooker, I'd love to hear them. I do realize times will vary due to the particular food and other factors.

I use my 2-quart crock pot occasionally. I originally bought it for the RV, but since we're no longer traveling in it, I brought it into the house. I use the same timings as for my larger slow cookers -- average of 3-5 hours on high and 7-10 hours on low for a full pot, assuming that I'm starting with raw ingredients. If I'm using it to warm soup or a stew, I'll start it out on high for 30 minutes to an hour and then drop it to low until we're ready to eat. (This pot doesn't have a "keep warm" setting.)
