Double walled plastic cup with lid and straw

I picked up a Double walled plastic(BPA free) cup with lid and straw at CVS yesterday. I've been wanting one to take with on car rides and to go shopping for a long time. We buy bottled water and usually take that but recently we got filters for our Brita pitcher. I want to start taking along filtered water and leave the bottled stuff for my boyfriend (he takes 2 bottles to work everyday). Does anyone else have one of these types of cups? Do you like it compared to regular cups or water bottles?

Link to the type of cup I'm talking about.

I had been eying these b/c I have seen them everywhere from high end kitchen stores, coffee shops to walmart and discount stores and always wondered if they were insulated. None of the packaging I've seen on them stated so. My only concern was the straw - how to get it clean since you can't force anything into it to physically wash it.

Instead of buying it and finding out the hard way that its not insulated, I opted to use my travel mug with a disposable straw instead. Saves me money, I know it will stay cold and the straw makes it fun  I use it to hold my hm iced tea and iced coffees when I'm headed out the door. Once I'm out and about later in the day, I can get a refill for a discount too ;)

I have a separate stainless steel bottle for water only. Its not insulated but I'm ok with that. The water stays pretty cool, more then I ever thought it would.

I have the stainless steel ones, but I find things taste metallic in them.
I found that too with all the bottles I kept getting gifted and tried. Sigg water bottles cost a lot more then the Walmart special however there was an issue with the inside liner of their bottle flaking off and BPA. I did some researching and decided to spend on a Kleen Kanteen. Food grade stainless steel - no metal taste ever. To me - well worth the money!
