Double walled plastic cup with lid and straw

I picked up a Double walled plastic(BPA free) cup with lid and straw at CVS yesterday. I've been wanting one to take with on car rides and to go shopping for a long time. We buy bottled water and usually take that but recently we got filters for our Brita pitcher. I want to start taking along filtered water and leave the bottled stuff for my boyfriend (he takes 2 bottles to work everyday). Does anyone else have one of these types of cups? Do you like it compared to regular cups or water bottles?

Link to the type of cup I'm talking about.

I was in a Marshalls today and saw that they had a couple in the "clearance" section for 3 bucks. I cleaned my straw tonight by rinsing it out with hot water first, then squirting a drop of dish soap into it and then running hot water through again. I don't foresee having any problem with it becoming dirty. I plan to only drink water out of it and to wash it nightly.
I saw those at the store. They look really neat. We all have stainless steel water bottles and I don't want to put out the money for new stuff again. Actually, I quit using my water bottle and started using canning jars. They can run through the dishwasher. I have a few germ issues (OCD) and I never felt like the steel bottles got clean enough by handwashing. I now just use my steel bottle as a "water only" refill for my canning jar.

I have one of these, but the kind for hot liquids. I drink a lot of tea, and this way, it stays warm in my classroom, while I'm teaching, and I'm not spending the money to buy tea in the cafeteria. I love it!

Love, love, love mine! I take it with me everywhere I go, I would be lost without it!! My sil gave dh and I one last year for the holidays. I have since bought my ds and dd their own.

I don't leave home without it and would probably turn around and go get it if I did. We also have a filter on our water and ice from the frig and fill the cup up with mostly ice and then water. It keeps the water cold for a very long time.

I just use regular straws and change them out. I don't have the hard plastic one.

My cup has a pretty light blue dragonfly
dh's cup has a marlin fish on it
ds's cup has a Chicago Cubs logo (fave team)
dd's cup has a pink flower on it.

I have been thinking about these! We were at my parents where I realized just how hard we are on glasses. The kids finish their cup and put them in the sink. So if in an hour, they are thirsty again, they take a new cup.

I'm going to be looking for these on sale for home, and if on clearance, maybe a set to bring to my moms. That way, they simply wash their cup when done drinking and put it beside the sink to use again.

I have the stainless steel ones, but I find things taste metallic in them.

I found that too with all the bottles I kept getting gifted and tried. Sigg water bottles cost a lot more then the Walmart special however there was an issue with the inside liner of their bottle flaking off and BPA. I did some researching and decided to spend on a Kleen Kanteen. Food grade stainless steel - no metal taste ever. To me - well worth the money!

I had been eying these b/c I have seen them everywhere from high end kitchen stores, coffee shops to walmart and discount stores and always wondered if they were insulated. None of the packaging I've seen on them stated so. My only concern was the straw - how to get it clean since you can't force anything into it to physically wash it.

Instead of buying it and finding out the hard way that its not insulated, I opted to use my travel mug with a disposable straw instead. Saves me money, I know it will stay cold and the straw makes it fun  I use it to hold my hm iced tea and iced coffees when I'm headed out the door. Once I'm out and about later in the day, I can get a refill for a discount too ;)

I have a separate stainless steel bottle for water only. Its not insulated but I'm ok with that. The water stays pretty cool, more then I ever thought it would.
~You can clean straws with pipe cleaners. They're not just for crafts!
I do just what you do, a thermal cup for hot or cold beverages and water only in my stainless. It's rare that I take anything but water though.
I love the idea of the product though for anyone who is sued to stopping for a little something while they're out. Having a comparable cup that's reusable will save money on those treats.
I just saw some at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5 and they always seem to have coupons available.~

I got mine at Walmart for 5.00 and love it. I have had no problems in the seal/lid not sealing/going on right. I am planning on buying a few more to have for the kids and hubby as they go through so many cups in a day.

I am totally addicted to reusable cups and glasses, etc. I have one of these double insulated ones with a straw, actually, I have 2. I keep one at work and one at home. I have 3 Contigo stainless steel double insulated cups that I use for coffee. They are by far the best ones I have tried and I have tried them all! LOL The Contigo keeps my coffee warm for at least 4 hours. I never go anywhere without water or coffee to go with me...

I've had my cup for about a week now and am filling it up religiously. Ok well maybe not that much but I am making sure that I'm drinking more water. After the first day, my boyfriend asked "whats up with you and the water?" I used to drink bottled water but I think he asked because I was walking around the house with ice clinking in it and it was distracting. I think a big factor making me want to drink out of it is the straw. I can't explain it but I've noticed if I'm given a drink with a straw in it, i'll end up drinking the whole thing. But if I'm at a restaurant where they don't give you straws, I drink less.
