So I decided that I was not going to spend a bunch of money on junk candy this year..
so we did this...
instead of the marshmallow eggs dipped in chocolate.
I took a bag of the generic marshmallows and a bag of choc chips. I melted the choc chips in a double boiler.. stuck a toothpick in each marshmallow.. took a paint brush. and painted each one with a coating of chocolate (dipping wasted too much) the kids also put sprinkles on them. They turned out really pretty and kicking good.
We also made Rice Krispies treats and shaped them in an egg shape.. dipped some of them and sprinkles.
We had a box of frosted flakes (1/2) opened and we did the recipe with the peanut butter and marshmallows then put them in cupcake holders and shaped like a nest.. and put three jelly beans..birdnests...
They all turned out cute.. the hard part of it all was I individually wrapped everything in cellaphane
I just wanted to share..
